[13:17] <Golemy> I am trying to use 1280x960 (4:3) resolution on a 1280x1024 (5:4) monitor
[13:19] <Golemy> But unfortunately xubuntu programs all think I'm using 1280x1024 resolution even though the nvidia output shows black bars and 1280x960

[13:32] <Golemy> hmm.. that gives me fullscreen which I don't want and replacing 1280x1024 with 1280x960 has the original problem
[13:33] <Golemy> xubuntu still draws 1280x1024, but the viewport shown is 1280x960
[13:34] <Golemy> it feels like xubuntu has it's heart set on using display size
