Not all of Plasma 5.20.3 has hit the release pocket yet, as some parts trigger QA tests against other packages (update-notifier etc), and those tests are a bit backlogged. === Guest56693 is now known as lordievader [08:25] Good morning === TheMetamorphosis is now known as Metamorphosis [09:33] <_genuser_> hi people. I have an odd issue, plasmashell keeps crashing. no idea how to fix it.. [09:33] <_genuser_> does anybody know how to debug it? [09:47] _genuser_: Start by running it in a terminal, that way you might get a clue as to why it crashes. [09:57] <_genuser_> lordievader: so I was able to delete the plasma files in ~/.config and restart. [09:58] <_genuser_> it was crashing on a pluging called Menu Z. [09:58] <_genuser_> thanks! Do some planning beforehand by checking compatibility, user reviews, etc. [13:02] Three days back i installed dev stack on my system. Zero errors because I followed the installation guide on dev stack website. Downloaded the right package and read user reviews before installation. [13:41] SharGen19 Any specific reason you are running a custom kernel over the packed ones? [13:42] @lordievader, Nope, I was tolded it better for gaming, haven't tested games tho, but idk [13:45] Quite unlikely. Besides you run into issues like this. You could configure the DKMS in such a way that it would build modules for your custom config, but that is really more trouble than it is worth.
