[04:53] <h311ow> If it's physically connected, I think it uses parallel, and over network it's socket
[04:54] <h311ow> So, start with creating the printer: lpadmin -p [printer name] -E -v parallel:/dev/lp0
[04:55] <h311ow> The printer name is just its friendly name.
[04:57] <h311ow> You can also check /etc/cups/psrinters.conf for your printer definition

[19:34] <Emerald2> Got a message about a system problem on boot today. Google told me to look at /var/crash and it says lightDM gtk greeter crashed, but I was able to login normally today so I'm confused.

[19:37] <xtao> i had the same problem, but i installed the fix from the "proposed" channel before it was officially released
