=== halvors1 is now known as halvors [09:44] can i use the ice candidates received from a Co-turn server to establish plain UDP connection to the other peers? something like netcat ? [11:04] Hi [11:04] i manage 800 hosts, and i'm trying to migrate to UEFI netboot install with preseeding [11:05] i saw that desktop images are only distributed as legacy [11:05] does ubuntu server images support defaulty uefi netboot ? [11:06] can i use those to deploy desktops ? (i have a fat ansible playbook, trigered by preseed file, which installs everything my hosts needs, Desktop environnment etc..) [12:06] what is the minimal installer iso which supports UEFI boot ? [12:12] please decide for #ubuntu or #ubuntu-server on discussing this issue [17:01] does ubuntu server read kickstart file if passed with "ks" cmdline var in UEFI mode ? [17:02] https://github.com/eoli3n/vagrant-pxe/blob/dev/roles/ubuntu/files/script.ipxe [17:02] if i curl the file, it is ok [17:02] but installer starts without taking care about ks file [17:28] i don't think ubuntu live server supports kickstart [17:28] for now, there is also the legacy server image (which does): https://askubuntu.com/questions/1235062/non-live-ubuntu-server-20-04-release [17:29] live-server has its own mechanism for automating unattended installations [17:30] https://ubuntu.com/server/docs/installation [17:31] https://ubuntu.com/server/docs/install/netboot-amd64 [17:31] https://ubuntu.com/server/docs/install/autoinstall [18:02] thanks tomreyn i found that yes [18:05] autoinstall loops... [18:06] https://github.com/eoli3n/vagrant-pxe/tree/dev/roles/ubuntu/files [20:25] I have a swapping server caused by a heavy mysql query and I'm not sure how to recover [20:58] daedeloth: you could kill that transaction [20:59] i couldn't get to it [20:59] that's as long as you can still work on it [20:59] but got it working now [20:59] so it just recovered by itself? [21:10] i'm not sure, i called service mysqld stop a few times. at first it wouldn't connect, but suddenly it apparently did stop mysql and then i rebooted the system :) [21:10] can't see any data loss for now [21:16] well, it's not unusual for things to recover after a while when swapping has taken effect.
