Fudgeevening guys08:48
seb128hey oSoMoN, didrocks, marcustomlinson, how are you?08:48
Fudgeif anyone has a min this is very simple but im missing a step for packaging i cant remember, im not very good at it. im just branding base-files, so have made the local changes, im already setup with ppa and my ssh key, gpg key is all up there has been for years. I use debchange dch -i -r and pop the version number on for our branding, then try debuild -S and it fails. it never used to last time i 08:51
Fudgepackaged few years back, if i use debuild -d -us -uc it works then debsign -kmy-email that works too, but i want debuild -S to work. What am I missing?08:51
didrocksseb128: still having water issues at home, but I’m ok, thanks. And you?08:51

duflumarcustomlinson, was it you attacking the ubiquity backlog? :)09:18
marcustomlinsonduflu: not recently. have I rubbed off on somebody then :)09:23
duflumarcustomlinson, yeah 09:23
dufluIt went off the chart, literally. So I've been meaning to claw it back down09:24
Laneytjaalton: are you on the ubuntu image build failures? https://launchpadlibrarian.net/510173985/buildlog_ubuntu_focal_amd64_ubuntu_BUILDING.txt.gz09:25

ackkoSoMoN, hi, is there a chromium build somewhere with native wayland support?09:38
oSoMoNackk, I'm afraid not09:38
ackksigh09:39
ackkoSoMoN, what is missing, out of curiosity? if I run the snap as "chromium --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland" it errors out, but it seems support is there somehow?09:40
dufluOh that's interesting. Sounds like it's there but maybe just a snap confinement problem?09:45
oSoMoNackk, duflu: this is being tracked by bug #1897454, but tbh I haven't really looked into it yet09:57
ubot5bug 1897454 in chromium-browser (Ubuntu) "[snap] Chromium dev cuts off Wayland display" [Medium,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/189745409:57
oSoMoNhelp welcome :)09:57
dufluStill, that's more progress than I expected :)09:59
ackkFWIW this is with snap from stable channel10:03
ackkwhat's the best way to check whether an app is running natively on wayland?10:10
ackkit seems the snap is missing libGLESv2.so.210:11
ackkoSoMoN, duflu added a comment on that bug10:17
dufluThat file comes from your graphics driver, which for most people is part of Mesa10:18
ackkduflu, you mean it should be accessible via plugs?10:33
dufluI don't know. And actually there's a new general abstraction for that stuff called libglvnd10:34
ackkduflu, still, those libs need to be available for the snap to work10:45
ackkFTR I just tried chrome, it does run natively on wayland now10:52
dufluWoo10:59
dufluSounds exciting, but also EOD. Good night11:00
