[02:04] please ignore, test only === guiverc2 is now known as testing [04:23] leokolb testing [05:25] hello === lubuntu is now known as Guest30058 [11:16] guys … flatpak doesn't update to its latest version (1.8.2) … I update my system almost daily … i need that version to install a flatpak app [11:16] i tried to download flatpak.deb and install that but that doesn't work either [11:17] how come other packages update without errors but flatpak? 🤔 [11:17] https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/Fmf2KsTQfy/ [11:17] @Michaël Van Bogaert [https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/Fmf2KsTQfy/], terminal output [11:18] it has some dependencies errors … but force installation doesn't work [11:19] don't know how to solve this 🤷🏽‍♂️ [11:23] I think it is more of an issue with the ungoogled chromium flatpak rather than flatpak itself. [11:23] From the github repo: Flatpak: Available in the Flathub beta repo as com.github.Eloston.UngoogledChromium [11:23] It says it is beta ^ [11:25] thank you for your reply :) … so you're certain that isn't caused by out dated flatpak installed on my system? [11:28] because i can't install flatpak itself [11:28] You have 1.6.5-0ubuntu0.1 from your paste which is the current version in focal. [11:28] !info flatpak focal [11:28] ok, i understand … thank you [11:28] flatpak (source: flatpak): Application deployment framework for desktop apps. In component universe, is optional. Version 1.6.5-0ubuntu0.1 (focal), package size 1041 kB, installed size 5579 kB [11:29] i understand, tx :) [11:29] np [11:30] happy to help [11:40] Hello. @ Lubuntu maintainers: If you don't backport the Libreoffice fix(about printing & pdf export bug) to last LTS then you should recommend people to install the official last Libreoffice version(7.0.3 IIRC) available for download on the Libreoffice site (zipped deb packages). Because the environment variables(CAIRO stuff..) launch pseudo fix doesn't work in some situations and it's still buggy (completly mess the interface, you got to resize/maximize the [11:40] window) and sometimes you ends up in a crash-oops window loop, you gotta kill the process and the app won't launch... [11:48] akem: There are some other workarounds posted in a post on our forum https://discourse.lubuntu.me/t/libreoffice-export-to-pdf-has-no-text/1042 [11:48] The updated libreoffice does resolve the issue as well but the Lubuntu team doesn't maintain that directly. [11:55] hi. lubuntu 20.04. i have corrupt icons in tray and pidgin menu appear not under lxpanel https://i.imgur.com/iXnUlFl.png [11:58] kc2bez, Ok, thx for the link. [12:00] JohnDoe_71Rus, Lubuntu 20.04 doens't use lxpanel; lxpanel is an old LXDE panel last used in 18.04 [12:01] sorry. lxqt-panel [12:02] kc2bez, Too bad i can't post the topic is now closed.... [12:03] lxqt-panel 0.14.1-1ubuntu3 [12:05] akem, what did you want to post? [12:07] guiverc, Download link to offical Libreoffice site download section for 7.0.3 deb files which works out of box on Lubuntu 20.04 LTS no GUI bug & pdf export and printing is fine. [12:08] akem; refresh discourse screen [12:14] JohnDoe_71Rus, sorry I'm not coming up with much, ~/.config/lxqt/panel.conf will tell you the iconTheme; maybe you could check it doesn't have corrupt icon files.. I don't use pidgin so have little experience with it sorry. [12:15] guiverc, Cool thanks, i posted the message. :) [12:20] JohnDoe_71Rus, pidgin appears to use GTK2 theming, so ensure that's okay [12:21] guiverc: it corrupt only tray wiget icons. and random. i'm nothing change, just time passed https://i.imgur.com/Ccuvjml.png number 7 is appear. [12:22] so i can't use my favorite apps with lxqt? [12:23] JohnDoe_71Rus, sorry, it's more you need someone more skilled than me I suspect [12:24] there should be an icon from the theme in the tray. themes are not related to gtk / qt / some_else. in the menu and in the window headings the icon is normal. [12:29] sorry, yes themes on lxqt-panel will be icon files as per my first comment.. but I'd still check your LXQT Appearance COnfiguration & GTK2 theme... best I can offer, as suggested you need someone better skilled than me (I'm not a dev) [12:33] backport 0.15 or 0.16 planned? [12:35] not that I'm aware of.. LXQt usually also requires Qt upgrade.. which impacts KDE & all Qt packages.. if you want later software; you upgrade every 6 months is the Ubuntu way [12:37] groovy has lxqt 15.0, Qt 5.14.2 etc https://lubuntu.me/groovy-released/ [12:48] looks like this panel settings options fix the problem https://i.imgur.com/0wI5Do3.png but it not save after close settings [13:51] I wish I could read Cirillic, I certainly must study it this holidays! [14:27] Redefine icon theme [14:27] Or overwrite icon theme [14:27] hope that helps before you study cilillic [14:45] спасибо === dwf is now known as dwffxqy [15:51] sdfsdf [15:51] hello? [15:57] For which version of Lubuntu? [15:57] I believe you ask about lightdm/sddm themes? [15:59] lubuntu20.04 [15:59] sddm theme [16:00] I installed lightdm from Discover, which is not valid after it is set [16:02] You would have to change sddm for lightdm and then configure lightdm. [16:02] Where do I modify sddm? [16:03] This is our manual entry for sddm: https://manual.lubuntu.me/stable/3/3.1/3.1.9/sddm_configuration.html?highlight=sddm [16:03] thanks [16:03] You are welcome. [16:06] I have one more question. [16:06] I've got lubuntu newly installed, and when I'm connected to a Bluetooth audio device, I can't set the volume in the taskbar's audio settings, and the mixer doesn't turn on. [16:08] If you right click the sound icon then click configure "Volume Control" you can change the device that the taskbar volume controls. [16:12] When I reinstated PulseAudio volume control, I could use this software to control the volume, but the taskbar couldn't control the volume (it could operate seekbar but it didn't work) and I couldn't turn on mixer [16:18] I am not sure I completely understand "When I reinstated PulseAudio volume control". You could try to launch the mixer manually though. https://manual.lubuntu.me/stable/2/2.5/2.5.2/pulseaudio_volume_control.html?highlight=volume#how-to-launch [16:23] With Bluetooth audio connected, I can't open 'PulseAudio volume control' in the app menu. I uninstalled 'pulseAudio volume control ' and reinstalled it, and then I was able to open it in the app menu, but I couldn't turn it on in the taskbar and set the volume [16:27] It's early in the morning on my side, and I went to bed first. I'll try again later. Thank you for helping me out. [17:40] I have upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04, but now Gnome movie player doesn't run, and m4a sound files mostly don't run. There is an initial message saying System Program Problem, but with no details. Any ideas please? [17:47] what happens when you start the player using the terminal? … this could provide us with us with usefull information [17:52] I selected Gnome mpv, tried to open a mov file, a green screen appears, then a brief view maybe the first frame, then it closes down. [18:49] Ok, but, what about the terminal? As Michaël said, this could help to know what the problem is. [19:13] Error messages appear, sorry I don't know how to copy from the terminal screen.
