Is there any hidden trick, or is it just not possible to manually partition while encrypting the system? [11:13] Hello, I ripped some of my CD's using K3B on my Kubuntu (to my Music folder on my SSD). Now when trying to copy theses folders to my USB stick (ext3) with Dolphin, I have errors (creating some folders on the stick). I suppose this is due to special characters but I thought it would be no problem to an ext3 stick. === tor is now known as Guest23370 [12:07] Hi folks [12:10] Hello! === nescius_ is now known as nescius [12:11] freshly updated firefox package seems to be broken - cannot copy extracted data for './usr/lib/firefox/libxul.so' to '/usr/lib/firefox/libxul.so.dpkg-new': unexpected end of file or stream [12:12] no, sorry, my fault, its just again 60GB used in / due to bs logs filling with useless text === booni is now known as BooNi === wodencafe is now known as wodencafemwaaa === wodencafemwaaa is now known as wodencafe === user|89683 is now known as unchab [15:35] hi kubuntu community. Trying to install 20:04 on an older Dell XPS I7, 8 GB ram and 750 gb SATA. I am installing as a single boot. Wiping out Windows. There appears to be issues with the Nvidia drives. First install failed at around 90%. Trying again, just in case. Any suggestions? [19:31] installing nvidia.. [19:31] oke, the last part takes a while, compiling the DKMS [19:32] be patient, is all i can say [19:50] OK. Managed to install. The issue appears to be the Nvidia drivers. This time, I did NOT check the box for "Install 3rd Party Drivers and Software". I have it running. Not perfect but its a start. In nearly all cases that tends not to matter, but in this case unusually it did. [20:50] yeah, and a months ago when even more was broken … not blaming anyone, just my findings [20:51] blaming me personally for always living on the edge [20:53] Plasma developer have been pushing things harder quicker recently, and I think some of this is the result of that. i.e. more things depending on changes in other parts of a stack in a way that can cause breakage if you don't upgrade everything at once [20:54] For example the previous one was Plasma devs breaking ABI in a library where they should really not have. [21:11] yeah, the last of these issues broke neon first then kubuntu+1 a month later :D [21:59] @derEremit, hehe, almost … now spectacle is broken :D [22:29] @derEremit, Looks like debian screwed up: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=977649 [22:29] Debian bug 977649 in src:kimageannotator "bumped SONAME without name change" [Grave,Open] [22:43] and the upstream [23:05] Not the ultimate right solution, but rebuilding spectacle will fix it in the short term. Doing that....
