arunpyasihi ilasc , I tried to copy a package from groovy to hirsuite and got this error "package in groovy (same version already has published binaries in the destination archive)" in my PPA. Any idea why that happens beside the fact that there's no package in hirsuite ?15:41
arunpyasi*Hirsute15:41
cjwatsonarunpyasi: It's saying "the destination archive", not "the destination series"15:41
cjwatsonarunpyasi: This is usually something like you forgot to enable "Include existing binaries" when doing an intra-archive copy15:42
* arunpyasi uploaded an image: image.png (28KiB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/HCADkJRzFpRyxrcvoYHGFMbA/image.png >15:44
arunpyasiThis is what I have. (in the screenshot)15:44
arunpyasiWhat I needed was; to build the package from source in hirsute with its dependencies.15:45
cjwatsonIn that case you must upload a different source package version.15:45
cjwatsonIt's not possible to do what you're asking otherwise, because the file names in the PPA would end up clashing.15:46
cjwatsonThough are you sure you need that?  In most cases binaries built on one Ubuntu series should work on the next, unless there's been some kind of library transition affecting them15:47
arunpyasiI was concerned with the Qt transition.15:47
cjwatsonOK.  You'll need to bump the version and reupload to hirsute, then.15:47
arunpyasicjwatson: I see, thanks for your support! :)15:48

ahayzenHi, my Ubuntu SSO account has 2FA enabled on it as I'm an ex-Canonical employee, I only found out this is still enabled when I tried to login to Canonical Livepatch (other sites don't ask for it). I was wondering if there is a way to disable the 2FA for my account as I can't see the option in the settings ? (as it was an employee only feature)20:29
cjwatsonahayzen: Canonical IS should be able to help you out - try whoever's the vanguard on #canonical-sysadmin or email rt@ubuntu.com21:46
ahayzencjwatson, thanks for the info! i'll try there tomorrow :-)21:48
