[00:34] (Photo, 720x1280) https://irc.ubports.com/GJMEM14y.png I supposedly installed Ungoogled Chromium on my Libertine container. How do I use it/try to launch it? After I “supposedly” installed Ungoogled Chromium in my Libertine container, I went on to install Firefox, Telegram, and Epiphany Browser. The only ones that showed up in the app drawer where Epiphany and Telegram. None of them opened, and Telegram disappeared from the drawer. [01:37] @JIHP334 [So a weird thing happened. So I wouldn’t be surprised the phone messed up the first one it made. [01:58] @JIHP334 [Yeah it doesn’t work at all. [02:05] @JIHP334 [], oh hey firefox is arm64 while epiphany is armhf [02:06] then again telegram also appears to be armhf [02:06] Yeah - that ain't going to work [02:07] @JIHP334 [], What device are using? [02:11] @Fuseteam [also the size for epiphany looks sus], I got it from one of Debian’s websites. It was like an archive of their available packages. [02:12] @Fuseteam [can you try the command i sent earlier, just to confirm its not a gui issue?], Yeah I’ll give it a go [02:12] don't dare ask which command :p jk if it got buried i can send it again [02:16] My experience is that Libertine containers are super fragile and easily get borked from a bad app install. Best to delete the entire.container and start back from scratch [02:18] @Fuseteam [don't dare ask which command :p jk if it got buried i can send it again], Don’t worry. It was just a bit above this message. [02:18] I tried the command and it said the package does not exist [02:19] I’ll just delete the container and try again tomorrow [02:19] @JIHP334 [I tried the command and it said the package does not exist], ok try this then: [02:21] libetine-container-manager exec -c "apt update" [02:22] I already deleted it. 😅 … It was erased a lot faster than I thought it would be considering how long it took to make. [02:23] I screenshoted the important bits and I’ll try again tomorrow. Thanks @Fuseteam & @TotalSonic for all your help. [02:24] ohw oof [02:24] guess i'll just hit the hay [02:28] Leo Carpenter was added by: Leo Carpenter [02:30] @TotalSonic [My experience is that Libertine containers are super fragile and easily get bork …], This nuclear option is not always necessary in my experience. Many times I've salvaged a suposedly-borked container by having a backup of the `ContainerConfig.json` file and restoring it. I think this even worked moving between the cont [02:30] ainers of a phone to an M10 and/or vice-versa! [02:33] It is located under: `~/.local/share/libertine/ContainerConfig.json` and an ideal place to back it up to would be the SD card (if the device supports it) which would also be good for using it to recover the container on another device as just mentioned.
