VitorCdn1Hello19:00
jjbuggleI seem to have lost the ability to drag with the right mouse button.  I was hoping to use it to make links to files, rather than move the files.19:34
jjbugglenm, I figured it out.  I had to use the icon view rather than the detailed list view19:39
xu-help69wHi, if there is anybody here able (and willing) ti help me answer my problem: I am trying to install Xubuntu on a computer without removing Win10. Install hangs at creating Root partition since about 40mins19:41
xu-help69wlast line showing : xubuntu wpa_supplicant[1494]: wlx060c000b48d1: CTRL-EVENT-SIGNAL-CHANGE above=1 signal=-55 noise=9999 txrate=3900019:42
xu-help69wOK, I will try to stop and reboot. Hopefully, Grub is still OK19:50
brainwashjjbuggle: you can do that in detailed list view too, but not from the Name column (fixed in Xfce 4.16)19:54
xu-irc77wre: xubuntu 20.04.1 on a Lenovo x201 laptop, triple-booted. I'm having to log in whenever the laptop is inactive for five or 10 minutes. I want to disable that so it does not require me to continually have to log back in with the password. My other linux machines don't seem to have this problem. I tried using the XFCE power manager but no matter20:00
xu-irc77wwhat the settings, it has no affect. I turned off all power management. I even set the XFCE power manager to NOT start at session startup. Still, the logins are required upon 5- to 10-minutes inactivity. So, something somewhere is over-riding the XFCE power manager. How to disable the auto "logoff or suspend" ???20:00
brainwashxu-irc77w: maybe you just have to disable xfce4-screensaver (which acts as screen locker)20:02
xu-irc77wthanks. Never thought of that. I'll try...20:03
xu-irc77wThat must be it. It was set to five minutes. thanks again...20:03

cartmanHey folks, I'm installing Xubuntu 20.04 on top of a Ubuntu 18.04; I'm on the final installation screen (the blue one, that give a link to this IRC channel). It's been running for like 30 mins and I have no logs or anything to tell me if there are an issue. Any idea? Where can I read the logs of the installer to see what it's doing? Cheers20:39
brainwashcartman: /var/log/20:47
cartmanbrainwash: thanks for the reminder hehe20:53
