[02:57] good morning [05:30] Heya! [07:06] anyone know (off the top of their head) what package pulls in HWE for 20.04 desktop? [07:06] Good morning [07:12] !hwe [07:12] The Ubuntu LTS enablement stacks provide newer kernel and X support for existing LTS releases, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack [07:13] I was looking for a package dep that makes ubuntu desktop pull in HWE, where as Lubuntu (for 20.04 & 20.04.1) media does not.. I expected to find it, but haven't (yet anyway, hence question) [07:14] linux-generic-hwe-20.04 ? [07:14] I realize `ubiquity` of other flavors can make decisions as to kernel which complicates things... and maybe that's key to why I can't find it... it's decided by ubiquity [07:15] (lubuntu uses calamares; 20.04 & 20.04.1 media installed with GA kernel only.. so users of those still use 5.4) [07:24] Ubuntu Server uses subiquity & defaults to GA like Lubuntu does.. maybe it is ubiquity that adds package (which makes sense given recent OEM kernel options that were added.. that led to need to replace it..) [07:27] :) changelog makes it look like it's ubiquity, not package rule... [07:29] good morning [20:08] tomreyn: how much you wanna bet they're not even running ubuntu? :) [20:08] * leftyfb is shocked [20:09] ooh time for another round of 'guess the distro'! [20:12] leftyfb: haha [21:31] UWN671 is on the streets: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuWeeklyNewsletter/Issue671 .
