[09:13] hello, i'd like to get rust-pleaser sync'd it is stuck on 0.3.22, but i've bumped it in sid to work around dependencies [12:36] ed_: Either a developer with suitable access will need to work around the importer bug with syncpackage --no-lp, or (better, if possible) wait for https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/1917449 to be fixed, which should be later this week [12:36] Ubuntu bug 1917449 in Launchpad itself "Debian imports crash on non-UTF-8 filenames" [Critical,In progress] [12:37] ed_: (and if that's fixed, a developer will just be able to run syncpackage as usual. That would be an Ubuntu thing at that point though, not for Launchpad staff to do) [13:48] cjwatson: so there's two things going on then, a bug and feature import freeze? [13:55] ed_: Debian import freeze (not feature freeze, although they happen at the same time) means that auto-sync is turned off, i.e. uploads to Debian unstable aren't automatically copied into the Ubuntu development series. This bug means that it isn't currently possible to do so manually either (and it would have caused auto-sync to be ineffective if auto-sync were still enabled). [13:55] ed_: But in the absence of this bug, choosing to sync a package from unstable after Debian import freeze is up to the discretion of Ubuntu developers [13:56] cjwatson: fyp, syncpackage seems like it would work for rust-pleaser now [13:57] *fyi [13:57] I'm actually not sure how that managed to work [13:58] Oh right, rust-pleaser was uploaded before the aspell-is upload that tickled this bug [13:58] So yeah, rust-pleaser could be synced if somebody wanted. Not a matter for this channel then [13:58] nope [13:59] Sorry, I didn't actually check, had just had three other people point out the auto-sync issue to me today :) [13:59] So probably assumed it was the same thing [14:00] np. your concentration is better placed fixing it ;) [14:00] * RikMills shuts up [14:00] Well, I've done that, just waiting for it to get through tests ... === dericcrago_ is now known as dericcrago === ijohnson is now known as ijohnson|lunch === ijohnson|lunch is now known as ijohnson [20:44] hey together, I am trying to import my openpgp key to launchpad, uploaded my key to the ubuntu-keyserver (checked here: http://keyserver.ubuntu.com/) ... was done like 5h ago, but still entering my fingerprint in order to import fails .... should I just wait longer or is there some other way to debug this ? [20:54] dariball: Can you use the support link in the topic and give as much in the way of details as you can (we'll need LP username and GPG key fingerprint)? Or feedback@launchpad.net if you don't want that to be public [20:56] cjwatson: will do, thank you+ === theloudspeaker_ is now known as The_LoudSpeaker === Guest39499 is now known as The_LoudSpeaker
