I have tried legacy support in bios with no avail. [18:22] !nomodeset [18:22] Systems with certain graphics chipsets may not boot properly out of the box. "Temporarily Add a Kernel Boot Parameter for Testing" as discussed at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBootParameters to add the "nomodeset" parameter there. [18:23] xu-help94w, try that ^^^ [18:23] thanks, i am going to try [18:42] that did not help. i also got "integrity: problem loading x.509 certificate -65" and "usb 1-4: device descriptor read/64, error -110" [18:43] xu-help94w: disable "secure boot" in bios [18:43] and disconnect any usb devices you don't strictly require [18:45] if the usb error still occurs, re-do the installer usb, it is broken (either physically broken usb mass storage media, or bad/flaky connector / cable, or just a bad write of the iso image) [18:46] to prevent bad iso image writes, verify the downloaded .iso image checksum against the location you downloaded it from. and then, and verify the data was properly written to the usb storage. [18:46] https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/75483/how-to-check-if-the-iso-was-written-to-my-usb-stick-without-errors [18:47] or, if that's too technical, write the iso using the "balena etcher" software instead (available on all major OS), it will verify the data written by default. [18:53] thanks. i believe that the download is ok, but the usb is just cheap aliexpress one. however, it looked fine before with movies etc. i am going to update the bios first and then i will try balena, or different distro. or maybe i will try the usb on my laptop
