[11:56] Howdy folks [14:20] @Santa, Let me know when you think it is complete. I may well copy to a bileto PPA to see how tests go on the actual infra [14:35] @DarinMiller mparillo etc. if you are able to test FW in the staging ppa, that would be great [15:06] 5.80 working fine on 2 systems here.... going for 3 shortly... [15:21] 3 of 3 working fine. For some reason, the wifi connection has be re-selected on first reboot. Subsequent reboots, wifi works normally. [15:24] Of the items listed 5.80 release notes, I was able to verify that f11 no longer toggles kate's line numbers. All other changes are too obscure or not applicable to my setups to test. [16:00] Thanks! [17:08] Not that I could improve over Darin, but sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/staging-frameworks ? [17:25] yep [17:32] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plasma-framework/+bug/1919083 [17:32] Launchpad bug 1919083 in plasma-framework (Ubuntu) "[FFe] KDE Frameworks 5.80.0 into Hirsute archive" [Undecided,New] [17:35] Hi everyone [17:36] @RikMills, Almost there, I'm checking the git repos to actually push the last commits (symbols updates) [17:36] It's probably finished in the PPA but I haven't tested myself the packages in the PPA [17:46] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plasma-framework/+bug/1919083/comments/1 [17:46] Launchpad bug 1919083 in plasma-framework (Ubuntu) "[FFe] KDE Frameworks 5.80.0 into Hirsute archive" [Undecided,New] [17:48] Separately (I voted Pass[es the test]), has anybody noticed if you use your task manager to display running programs (like Win7 behavior), it seemed to default to me to stack the programs in two rows rather than shortening the tiles to fit? [17:49] Also, when I was checking the exact name for the Win7 option I always select, I right-clicked and selected Show Alternatives. However the Alternatives came up blank. I doubt that is a packaging problem, but could somebody switch to show running programs, and then Show Alternatives? [17:53] (Photo, 1090x887) https://irc-attachments.kde.org/nWv3Zdxu/file_42428.jpg I have my panel on the left and my icons with a single column of taskbar icons. My taskbar settings: [18:00] Thank you. Setting Maximum columns to 1 restores previous behavior. But right-clicking on the task bar and selecting show alternatives still does nothing. BTW, I just noticed that my VM Disk was GPT and Kubuntu installation was EFI, all by default. [18:15] @RikMills everything should be in order now, so I will spend some time today with: [18:15] 1. pushing the fix for fw 5.80 to git and KA PPA packages [18:16] 2. test rebuild of everything against this new fw packages [18:39] https://bileto.ubuntu.com/#/ticket/4489 [18:40] will build for the extra riscv64 in there [18:50] 👌
