[10:17] <slyon> bradd: are you using DHCP configuration? This might explain the broken networking after a delay (i.e. after DNS was updated/overriden by DHCP). In this case you might want to make use of dhcp4-overrides.use-dns=no (https://netplan.io/reference/#dhcp-overrides)
