[09:57] <classicsnail> commissioning is just one of the available actions, in the same drop down as the deploy and other options
[09:58] <classicsnail> but I'm not quite clear on what it is your problem is? the power control won't ever work unless you configure the power control with a valid starting username and password for each machine, in the configuration
[09:58] <classicsnail> maas will create a maas user with the appropriate permissions on the ilo, but the first time has to be entered somehow
[09:59] <classicsnail> I usually have a spreadsheet with all the unique chassis passwords for each machine that I get from the DC peeps
[09:59] <alterjsive> yeah I have the ilo usernames and passwords
[09:59] <alterjsive> weird that I didn't need to enter it for the gen 8 server then
[09:59] <alterjsive> I could get to the deploy stage
