[05:54] Hi. After systemstart I find one zita-a2j and one zita-j2 a process plus one zombified zita Instances. I get zita-a2j and zita-j2a zombies more when stopping jack via ubuntu-studio-controls. After restart I get two new processes. When stopping again, the count of zombies raises by two. Any ideas what to do? === Iamahuman is now known as Iamahuman4 [12:17] > Any ideas what to do? [12:18] How about staying longer than 15 minutes in irc to get an answer [12:18] 😉 [14:21] :) to be fair sometimes people get cut off. I've dipped in and out of IRC since the 90s, but been using it a lot more recently and have had so many problems with disconnections. Last night I setup ZNC after thinking "There must be a way to..." and sure enough there is ;) so much better already [14:23] :) this is the modern answer.. since in days of the 90s you really needed something when your phone line/modem dropped the call .. not a problem we have so frequently with always-on internet now :D [14:24] even cellular has an 'idle' connection === kilde__ is now known as edlik === Kilde is now known as kilde [16:35] PDF printing only prints in one corner of my pages. How can I fix this? [17:15] kilde: That's not an Ubuntu Studio-specific issue. Try asking in #kubuntu since they're in charge of the Desktop Environment in 20.10+. If you're using 20.04, try asking in #xubuntu. [17:16] It could also be your printer/drivers don't work properly in Linux in general, so keep in mind that not all hardware is guaranteed to work. [17:31] hi, I have a question regarding zynaddsubfx on ubuntu studio... in a fresh install the synth interface is terribly outdated, will this be fixed with the update or do I need to install any missing dependancies? [18:19] krznv: That's because the upstream developer made the sources impossible to package for Debian and Ubuntu. Basically, the new interface is in an entirely different source from the base source, and Debian packages require a single source tarball without any additions. [18:20] krznv: So, unless the upstream developer incorporates it into the same source, what you're asking is impossible. [18:31] thank you for the clarification
