brandonkal | dns is timing out on ubuntu. Not sure where to begin debugging and I can ping the dhcp dns servers | 13:21 |
Slashman | brandonkal: systemd-resolved is a good place to start | 13:57 |
brandonkal | Thanks Slashman. I found some old addresses in the netplan file which systemd-resolved showed. They were 10.0.20.x IPs where my LAN is now 192.168.x.x My guess would be it arbitrarily picks the DNS server to use? Sometimes it would work via the DHCP dns servers | 14:01 |
leftyfb | brandonkal: yes, nameservers are utilized randomly. Only specify multiple nameservers when the each of the nameservers is configured to resolve in the same manner | 14:05 |
