[14:53] In a userdata cloud-config, can I have multiple runcmd modules separated by other things? e.g. runcmd ... package ... runcmd? It seems like only the last runcmd gets executed. [16:02] can i get +1 on https://github.com/canonical/cloud-init/pull/859 [16:46] blackboxsw: ^^ [17:04] hamalq: thanks for the direct ping. I'll try to get a review on this today, but the day or tomorrow morn. Thank you for adding the unittests integration tests. I'll be able to get to that after reviewing an internal build issue we have related to https://github.com/canonical/cloud-init/pull/721 [17:05] blackboxsw: thanks [17:06] hamalq: BTW those tests look good on quick glance. thanks for that coverage. [17:06] I'll be able to get through a more detailed review later [17:07] ok thanks i will wait for that, thanks [17:07] if u need any update please ping me i will do as soon as i can [21:29] blackboxsw: hi can u suggest someone two review this ( i really need merged as soon as possible ) [21:31] for this change https://github.com/canonical/cloud-init/pull/859 [21:31] to review [21:31] hamalq: What's the urgency on it being landed? We don't have an upstream release scheduled for several weeks at this point. [21:31] hamalq: I'm going to touch base with the team tomorrow morning. we won't be able to fast track this branch, but we have a couple of eyes on it already. I expect we'll be able to assign a reviewer to your PR tomorrow but even when landed, it'll only show up in https://launchpad.net/~cloud-init-dev/+archive/ubuntu/daily until an official release into Ubuntu hirsute is performed [21:32] and our copr builds @ https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/cloud-init/cloud-init-dev/ [21:32] but as far as getting into your distro proper for RHEL that's a ways out. [21:33] as RedHat folks are downstream and don't pull these bits from upstream cloud-init for quite some time. [21:33] mmmm thats good to know, those things move slow [21:34] yes even with commits landing in upstream cloud-init, each Linux distribution verifies and syncs changes from upstream at their own pace [21:35] we provide test repos in copr and the daily ubuntu ppa to provide a mechanism for folks to test out the bits before they get published properly to a specific Linux distribution. But, yeah as Odd_Bloke mentioned, it'll take time for you to see that on your cloud or choice when launching instances [21:36] its ok am glad i did this change, and since its there and merged we can keep use it downstream till merged [21:36] to rhel [21:43] hamalq: Aha, cool, makes sense. :) [21:44] "its ok am glad i did this change, " so are we :) and thank you for your patience on this [21:53] blackboxsw: Odd_Bloke: thanks for the help [23:20] Odd_Bloke: a wip for the lvm resize regression thing https://github.com/canonical/cloud-init/pull/864 [23:21] we can chat tomorrow on it
