seb128mwhudson, hey, thanks for fixing the ubuntu-drivers-common build but it's failing autopkgtests now06:40
seb128 FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'aplay'06:40
seb128is it new that syncpackage let .dsc files around in the dir it was called from?06:51

vorlonxnox, sarnold: nftables has been seeded in standard for hirsute but LP: #1887187 is still open.  Are we migrating to nftables or not?15:12
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1887187 in nftables (Ubuntu) "[MIR] nftables" [Critical,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/188718715:12
juliankvorlon: it's certainly enabled as default iptables backend; and lxd bridge is broken by that if you enable ufw (need to add extra ufw rules to allow routing traffic to bridge; annoying)15:51
juliankSo I guess we should have the native CLI tools for it, too15:51
hallynhey all.  stgraber suggested i might take the hirsute lxc package and push to focal, but i'm a bit rusty on these details - if the hirsute version is 1:4.0.6-0ubuntu1 , do i just prepend a new hcangelog entry like '1:4.0.6-0ubuntu1.20.04.1' ?16:08
stgraberhallyn: 1:4.0.6-0ubuntu1~20.04.116:08
stgraberat least that's the format we used for previous lxc SRUs16:09
hallynoh i tried to look for an example but i guess not hard enough16:09
hallynthanks.  oh, . would make it earlier?16:09
hallyn(nm, i see)16:19
juliankdoko: Is there a way to easily disable lto on dev machine?16:31
juliankthough arguably that's also not the best idea16:34
juliankproblem is I need to disable LTO to get decent compile speeds for apt change testing16:34
JawnSmithIs any core dev available to restart the armhf s3ql test that failed triggered by procps?16:40
ginggsJawnSmith: i guess you meant in focal?  done16:47
hallynstgraber: figured i'd let a ppa test-build it first, https://launchpad.net/~serge-hallyn/+archive/ubuntu/lxc-backport/+files/lxc_4.0.6-0ubuntu1~20.04.1_source.changes.  (taking awhile to build)16:52
JawnSmithginggs: yes, sorry for the lack of detail. Thanks!16:52

ginggsJawnSmith: np!17:17
hallynstgraber: do you think we'd want to backport to bionic as well, or is that too much since it's on 3.x?17:59
sarnoldvorlon: sorry, the security team has still not been able to work on nftables18:06
=== ijohnson|lunch is now known as ijohnson
stgraberhallyn: probably wouldn't bother with bionic at this point. In the past we've been pushing lxc and lxcfs through -backports as an option. If there's demand for that, we could do it easily enough but trying to SRU this fix on top of 3.0 probably isn't worth the trouble.18:43
hallynok sounds good - thx18:45
hallynwait - do we no longer use ${release}-proposed as the target pocket?18:48
rbasakhallyn: ${release} automatically redirects for SRUs. For backports I think you still need to use ${release}-backports18:54
rbasak${release}-proposed will still work, but IMHO it's ugly because the upload ends up in -updates in the end.18:55
hallynrbasak: thank you.18:55
dokojuliank: DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=optimize=-lto dpkg-buildpackage ...19:12
JawnSmithIs any core dev available to restart this test? http://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/request.cgi?release=focal&arch=s390x&package=ranger&trigger=procps/2%3A3.3.16-1ubuntu2.119:28
JawnSmithand also http://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/request.cgi?release=focal&arch=amd64&package=reprotest&trigger=procps/2%3A3.3.16-1ubuntu2.119:30
ginggsJawnSmith: .19:35
JawnSmiththanks again!19:37
ginggsJawnSmith: yw! but going afk now19:37
vorlonsarnold: so, are we going to promote it to main in advance of security review, or should it be unseeded?19:42
sarnoldvorlon: excellent question; I'd vote for unseed based solely on what I know of the situation, but whoever seeded it may feel strongly otherwise19:42
vorlonxnox: ^^19:43
JawnSmithfor any core dev still online here is a flurry of autopkgtest restart requests. I've looked into them all and they all just seem like flakey tests.21:08
