[08:21] Eickmeyer installed US 21.04 on my intel+nvidia laptop. Went well but I have a few things to report. Mostly installer and plasma so I guess will have to report to lubuntu and kubuntu. I am out and about now, will send some screenshots later so maybe you can send me to the correct bug trackers. [15:43] Mauro Gaspari: Sounds like a plan. I *might* be able to SRU a materia-kde update if that's where the issues lie, but we're looking at too late for most bugfixes as we've hit final freeze. [15:43] Basically, the only things being allowed through at this point are release-critical things. [15:50] MauroGaspari[m]: what is the plasma issue? [15:54] Eickmeyer: RikMills good timing, I am just uploading screenshots to imgur 🙂 [15:55] Mauro Gaspari: You do know that you can upload images to Matrix, right? [15:56] yes, I guess it is a bit easier for me there so i can reference in bug reports and other channels as needed. In here it is a bit easier to lose track of stuff :) [16:01] first one, calamares installer returns this error. However the installation was completed and my OS works fine with no issues that I can find. looks like it is trying to remove the live image from apt. https://imgur.com/a/SFCHAR9 [16:03] Second one. Trying to install nvidia drivers, The "Additional Drivers" Is installed, but clicking on launch does nothing. If I search in the plasma system settings, Driver Manager however is grayed-out. Installed "software & Updates" and got it from there no problem. https://imgur.com/a/larMAjV [16:05] Last one, I don't have a screenshot because actually not much to show. But Installing nextcloud-client from standard repositories, it installs but if I try to launch it, it does not do anyting. Launching from terminal I get. Segmentation Fault. Tested this on both my desktop and my laptop, same error. [16:05] Installing the flatpak worked but well, that is a workadound not a fix. [16:11] I see this on LP https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nextcloud-desktop/+bug/1923053 [16:11] Launchpad bug 1923053 in nextcloud-desktop (Ubuntu) "nextcloud crashed with SIGSEGV." [Undecided,Confirmed] [16:14] yes! thanks, that one. [16:15] also perhaps: https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/issues/3090 [16:18] RikMills: was looking at my discover to make sure I actually had the package installed. And it seems people are leaving reviews with the same issue. I guess it is not a new thing. Looking in launchpad if I can find a bug report. [16:27] it was never really intend to be launched from there. please report if there is no existing bug [17:19] sure, bit tricky to search for that one, looking for it and if can't find, will file a new one and link.
