=== me is now known as Guest56550 [01:58] Hi all.  First Congrads on a very nice release.  I did 'sudo do-release-upgrade -d' from groovy Lubuntu and it's workin' great.  I did notice grub was updated and wiped out my grub theme.   I can easily install a new one, but the default GUI based grub I have currently shows a blank black screen after I hit Ubuntu and a blank screen if pick [01:58] other options.  I was expecting to be allowed to edit the boot parameters.  I am just guessing the video defaulted to some ancient vga support as image is all stretched and very low resolution.  Or is this just a dumbed down default so no one is scared by a text based grub command line / editor. [02:14] Since you don't seem to be a chatty bunch ..Later I'm just going to switch to text grub so I know I can edit the default parms if needed. [02:14] exit [02:14] quit [03:28] [telegram] You can try the snap (re @IT5N00N31T5N00N31T5N00N31T5N00N3: Do I need to install PPA for Anbox? [19:15] I am on a macbook pro [19:15] I had a few windows open, streaming TV, news [19:16] Do I need more RAM? [19:18] 8G might not be that much these days [19:21] Are you asking this without having even looked at the RAM consumption yet? Because generally 8 GB should be plenty enough, I personally got only half of that and everything works fine.. [19:26] ram consumption in htop is just over 1GB, I have hardly seen it above 2 [19:26] not that I monitor that ofte, just recently [19:27] When wireless works, and I don`t loose wifi connecting, things seem to run fine [19:31] I guess it`s not RAM then [19:32] it is probably in connection with the wifi connetion loss, though I cannot see exactly why. Wireless cuts, then when if fiddle with the wireless the cursor freezes on the screen [19:34] Sounds like a driver issue to me also affecting the stability of the whole system. [19:36] So I'd check if there was a kernel update recently and if so, see if the issue also occurs having booted into the previous one. === hggdh is now known as hggdh-msft === hggdh-msft is now known as hggdh [22:38] *
