[13:31] I hope this is the right place for this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1923670 I can confirm that this issue is present in bionic (linux-modules-5.4.0-72-generic_5.4.0-72.80~18.04.1_amd64) as well and can be fixed by making the same change. I reverted and rebuilt cifs.ko locally, and I can now use DFS again. I would guess this affects groovy in addition to bionic. [13:31] Ubuntu bug 1923670 in linux-oem-5.10 (Ubuntu) "CIFS DFS entries not accessible with 5.4.0-71.74-generic" [Undecided,Confirmed] [14:04] the issue isn't assigned to bionic and I looked through the branches and it's not fixed there either. I don't think anyone is on this issue yet. DFS is kinda important these days :) [14:06] s#through the branches #through what I think are the relevant branches on https://kernel.ubuntu.com/git/ubuntu/ubuntu-bionic.git/refs/ # === Eighth_Doctor is now known as Conan_Kudo === Conan_Kudo is now known as Eighth_Doctor === blaze` is now known as blaze === hggdh is now known as hggdh-msft === hggdh-msft is now known as hggdh
