guiverckgiii, I just made reference to you on T180 (https://phab.lubuntu.me/T180)  if you don't mind... I'd assume ~5 mins work (some simple searches) though it'll likely take you >5mins to understand what I'm asking for..  so feel free to ping/ask/yell at me when needed03:45
guivercI was NOT explicit in my instructions on purpose... I don't want to use 'search terms' I thought of (& thus already tried) so I avoided giving an example intentionally...03:46
guiverccan be anyone.. or multiple people.. David sorry for 'picking on you' ; recent LXDE user was why..03:48
guivercfyi: it's not urgent.. 03:49
* guiverc away 20-40 mins03:50
kgiiiI can do that @guiverc. It won't be tonight and I'll give it more than 5 minutes. Just to be clear, I'm looking for remnants on official Ubuntu and Lubuntu pages?03:53
guiverckgiii, sorry my walk was a little longer than I guessed..  general searches of say "lubuntu wiki" (or anything you think of) & open pages where they point to wiki.ubuntu.com OR help.ubuntu.com...   any pages that you feel should re-direct but don't (ie. the "pages does not exist yet" due to my renames)..  only wiki.ubuntu.com & help.ubuntu.com pages matter (ie. ubuntu wiki) 04:41
guivercthank you kgiii, it's actually better if not tonight too (more time for today's help.ubuntu.com changes to be reviewed & become live/active!)   I've added a re-word to my last comment on T18004:46
guivercAlso kgiii, if you find some, I can walk you thru how to correct yourself if you'd like... (it's easy!)04:48
saivinob[m]guiverc: regarding "Likely issue - some (very active) folks are listed multiple times.", pls take a look at UM team page. We have used icons for different roles (member, tester, coder, art contributor etc), under a given username (picture).06:14
guivercwhere are you quoting from saivinob[m] please06:16
guivercI know & like the Ubuntu-MATE icons on your discourse..06:17
saivinob[m]From T180. Where you were giving example of wxl being in multiple categories including past contributors.06:27
guivercack & thanks.. I'll look06:28
saivinob[m]I may have not fully grasped the issue, but I think you want all mention of Lubuntu in ubuntu wikis to redirect to (hopefully respective) pages in lubuntu.me and leave some ref there in asuch as it pertains to LXDE. If so, I will also check and provide feedback as much as possible.06:31
guivercNo I opted to redirect only what I considered KEY pages (to avoid having to edit all... I couldn't see the point for pages that are obviously no longer relevent to Lubuntu, but maybe for users who are using say 21.04 but LXDE (there are quite a few going by support queries)06:32
guivercI was asking for any pages that I missed; that should redirect but don't  (ie. i missed, or my opinion was wrong; may be important for some users despite what I think thus needs to redirect)06:33
saivinob[m]OK. Still not fully understood but I guess taking a look at ones redirecting may give me better idea.06:34
saivinob[m]The Lubuntu/documentation page redirects to main site. Shouldn't it redirect to manual.lubuntu.me?06:36
guivercyeah sorry, I'm not clear (brain injury so my thoughts can be jumbled at times... )     If you believe I've re-directed to the wrong place - that too is a problem so document on phab (if you have access; if you don't I can fix that I believe)06:36
* guiverc spels bad too @ times06:37
guivercyeah I agree on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Documentation ; will fix now06:38
lubot[telegram] <lynorian> also agree on that06:38
saivinob[m]Thanks. I have access to phab but not well versed in using it. Will learn though.06:39
guiverchttps://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Documentation  fixed; thanks saivinob[m] !06:39
guivercthanks @lynorian too06:43
saivinob[m]Thanks. That was fast. 😀06:56
guivercno, Thank you for finding it (far more work than changing a URL)06:56
saivinob[m]lynorian: on the manual under what is lubuntu it says "as well as the LXDE packages in the LTS releases of Lubuntu.". Now that 18.04 is EOL, this may need to be removed?!07:00
guivercI would say for sure.. we no longer support any LXDE packages as far as I'm aware  https://manual.lubuntu.me/stable/index.html?highlight=lxde07:01
guivercalso https://manual.lubuntu.me/stable/1/1.1/retrieving_the_image.html refers to 32-bit as supported with 18.04 "until 2021", that bit @ top of page can be dropped now too07:04
* guiverc has to learn to edit pages directly, but it won't be today sorry07:04
lubot[telegram] <Leokolb> running daily test Impish - Almost sure we have reported this before - Trojita email on both Internet and Office menus - ?18:00
lubot[telegram] <kc2bez> I think it is as intended from the developers. It has both categories in the .desktop file. (re @Leokolb: running daily test Impish - Almost sure we have reported this before - Trojita email on both Internet and Office menus - ?)18:01
lubot[telegram] <Leokolb> ah ..yes I now remember the earlier discussions - prob back in Focal - tks (re @kc2bez: I think it is as intended from the developers. It has both categories in the .desktop file.)18:02
lubot[telegram] <kc2bez> That sounds familiar.18:03
kgiii<kc2bez> I think it is as intended from the developers. It has both categories in the .desktop file. -- Yup, as far as I know. When I asked about this stuff during Hirsute, @wxl sent me to this very informative page/spec: https://specifications.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/latest/index.html18:14

tsimonq2So, re: D110, there's a wider point that I'll bring up. For old releases in our CI PPAs, I've been doing the cleanup manually. This is just done by going to the web interface and clicking, or sometimes I'll do it in the Python interactive terminal.18:36
tsimonq2We should really have a cleanup job that runs. This should take care of monitoring disk usage/cleanup with CI itself, PPA usage, etc. 18:37
lubot[telegram] <teward001> good so you can reduce the data amount on the server by 500% on CI xD (re @lubuntu_bot: (irc) <tsimonq2> So, re: D110, there's a wider point that I'll bring up. lubot[telegram] <teward001> *is yeeted into the rain*18:37
tsimonq2That's why I'm putting it here. As of right now I don't have the spare cycles to implement this quite yet, but I also wanted to seek feedback on what that cleanup should look like exactly.18:38
lubot[telegram] <teward001> 👍18:40
