[11:38] Deano59: Most user settings get stored in `~/.config` [15:19] my settings aren't sticking after a reboot. I copied over: lxqt.conf and lxqt-config-appearance.conf but every-time I reboot or logout, I have to manually select openbox and my shortcuts are reset too. [15:24] can I fix that somehow? :D [17:26] no one? or should I ask in #ubuntu? [17:26] or read the manual? [17:27] https://manual.lubuntu.me/stable/ [17:43] I don't have a good answer Deano59: the only thing I can think is the defaults overwrite the user data. [17:44] I can say that upstream doesn't advise manually updating configuration files. They suggest using the GUI tools. [17:44] gui tools? [17:44] Graphic User Interface tools [17:45] Right, the lxqt settings from the menu [17:45] it wasn't manually updated. I took lxqt.conf and the other from a working system. THEN copied over to another system; before lxqt booted. [17:45] Maik: I know what gui tools is lol [17:45] Deano59: then be more clear [17:46] a lot is mentioned in the manual i guess :) [17:47] which setting actually applies the openbox etc? what's the conf file called? [17:49] `~/.config/openbox/lxqt-rc.xml` [17:51] should that be in ~/.config/lxqt too? [17:52] No [17:59] then it must auto delete itself because I always have to select openbox. [18:04] Deano59: Do you even log in to the "Lubuntu" session? [18:08] nah, lxqt. [18:09] Maik: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/cmpNcv4Dvy/ [18:10] Maik: the manual doesn't help but thanks. [18:54] ugh, what the?! unplugged my external hdd. rebooted, and was never asked to confirm openbox. :/ === px is now known as Guest97558 === Guest97558 is now known as px
