=== kubuntu is now known as Guest92501 [04:25] hello [04:25] I have a question regarding enabling automatic updates on Kubuntu [04:26] After starting Kubuntu. Discover will prompt if updates are available and from there they can be downloaded [04:27] There does not appear to be a direct way in Discover to update automatically [04:27] This is the first part of the question [04:28] Would the following systemd service file be advisable... [04:29] Which version of Kubunu? [04:29] [Unit] [04:30] Running 21.04, I can set Auto updates in System Settings [04:30] oh [04:31] .. the service file was just going to run the pkcon refresh/update [04:32] I am using Kubuntu 20.04 [04:33] There was an interesting not on the KDE forums that apt update and apt upgrade might not pick up all the packages Discover does [04:36] So I am on 20.04.2 LTS and can not find that option === sec__ is now known as se_ [12:11] hello? [12:11] !ask | install [12:11] install: Please don't ask to ask a question, simply ask the question (all on ONE line and in the channel, so that others can read and follow it easily). If anyone knows the answer they will most likely reply. :-) See also !patience [12:12] !discuss [12:12] Want to talk about Ubuntu, but don't have a support question? /join #ubuntu-discuss for non-support Ubuntu discussion, or try #ubuntu-offtopic for general chat. Plasma freezed and nothing is responsive, and I can't either move the cursor nor switch to tty using the keyboard what would you recommend doing? [15:33] mkhalil-M: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_SysRq_key#Uses - is what I'd try in this case. [15:51] kryten: thank you soo much that helped and restarted the machine :) thanks a lot [15:51] mkhalil-M: you may also want to review your system logs, e.g. using journalctl -e -b -1 [15:51] tomreyn: will do, thank you :) === personuser is now known as personuser_ [18:49] I have a quick question about okular. whenever I open a file with forms a notification pops up about it with a button to show them. Is there a way to disable that button? (I am not actually on Kubuntu, but got no response in #okular) [18:50] JonnyCodewalker: then the next best place to ask is #kde [18:50] especially since you're not on Kubuntu [18:51] thanks, not sure how I missed that channel ^^
