[01:40] hi, if there is a missing package in ubuntu, what's the right place to request/report for it? === cpaelzer__ is now known as cpaelzer [13:36] I feel like the "# Copyright (c) (c) 2006 Canonical Ltd, and Rosetta Contributors 2006" in translations is a bit wrong these days [15:30] Hello, I'm trying to automate the "snapcraft remote-build" process using github actions, but I've run into a bit of a snag. It always runs on a different host so it always hangs at the "waiting of launchpad token" step. Is there a way to manually create and pass it that token? [15:57] r0zbot-: I think you'd need snapcraft support for that, rather than launchpad. Although have you considered using snapcraft.io for the build, rather than remote-build? [16:08] I tried using it, but its not that flexible for us. We wanted to run some automated deployment tests on the packages after building but it didn't seem like there was a way to do that (nor a way to make it call a webhook to do that externally), it just built them and released on the edge channel at each commit to the repo (we only really wanted that on created releases also) [16:08] but thanks, I'll ask there [16:14] r0zbot-: ah, that's fair enough. Although can you not just build the snap in the CI action? I'm mostly just curious about using remote-build for something like that, it's not a use case I'd considered for that feature. [16:20] well, I can for x86_64, but we also wanted armf and arm64 builds [16:21] but its probably easier to just set up some self hosted runners for those archs [16:22] Automated deployment tests: request in https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/launchpad-post-build-pre-upload-testing/5545 (never resolved) [16:22] probably cheaper than waiting on the LP build farm to produce a build :) [16:22] if you're paying by the minute for the github action [16:24] lol thats fair enough === pappacena changed the topic of #launchpad to: Help contact:pappacena (12:00-21:00 UTC Mon-Fri) | Launchpad is an open source project: https://dev.launchpad.net/ | This channel is logged: http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/ | User Guide: https://help.launchpad.net/ | Support and spam reporting: https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad [18:30] pappacena, hello :), could you take a look at the builder, there are a lot of them stuck in "Cleaning" again [18:37] ricotz let me check if I discover something [18:44] Poked them. Let's see if that will help, or I will need to dig further... [19:03] pappacena, thank you [19:26] pappacena, seems to be a bigger problem than usual [19:26] yep, let me check that internally... [19:57] Ok, so it seems that we are having some trouble booting some of the builders, but I'm not aware of the root cause yet. [19:57] I think c jwatson knows the history of this issue, but he is out today... [20:19] thanks for investigating, I am hoping this can be fixed soon
