=== popey4 is now known as popey [02:34] good morning [02:36] O/ [02:36] hey Ussat [03:25] we have some crew here on Popos! gbit86 [03:25] So is it ok for me to upload a screenshot of some UI improvements I have made to my Pop!_OS install in here? [03:26] sure mate, i love user screens [03:26] Guess I'd be interested to know if anyone likes what I have done lol. [03:28] It is still running Gnome3 or Gnome-Shell underneath and from what I know of the process I think I can apply it to Gnome4 as well.. basically running Xfce4 w/ Gnome-Shell but hiding the top menu bar in gnome-shell 😂. [03:28] That's really how I want it as well.. I want the modern benefits of Gnome-shell without their top menubar. [03:29] They constantly break any and all attempts to add in a global menu.. xfce4 doesn't so it only makes sense to just do away with the menu bar completely and disable any notification related stuff that would cause a conflict. [03:30] cool [03:32] I probably should look at doing the same with Gnome 40 next.. [03:45] gbit86: this is how my box looks like https://imgur.com/a/91CnTwB [03:46] Ah nice, reminds me of chrome or ensoOS a bit === ivo_cavalcante is now known as IvoCavalcante === IvoCavalcante is now known as Dante === Dante is now known as Dantinho === Dantinho is now known as ivo_cavalcante === ivo_cavalcante is now known as IvoCavalcante === IvoCavalcante is now known as ivo_cavalcante === ivo_cavalcante is now known as IvoCavalcante === IvoCavalcante is now known as ivo_cavalcante === IvoCavalcante is now known as ivo_cavalcante === ivo_cavalcante is now known as Dantinho === Dantinho is now known as IvoCavalcante [18:33] bah turns out i can't use NFS from the Synology's share, because it's one where i'm using encryption [19:08] So does the arch chat have a log? [20:10] hey hey, i got around my problem by ditching samba multiuser and instead trying out autofs [20:11] each user has a directory in their ~ still, symlinked to a samba share mount in ~ but it's auto mounted by autofs now [20:12] it even works inside the web application without the user needing to SSH in first
