[09:08] yeah. i mean low cost laptop, intel celeron [09:09] still have windows 10 side by side [09:09] ah, ok [09:09] very slow using win while super fast on lubuntu === joz is now known as ptitjoz [16:39] hallo [16:40] !ask | bosi [16:40] bosi: Please don't ask to ask a question, simply ask the question (all on ONE line and in the channel, so that others can read and follow it easily). If anyone knows the answer they will most likely reply. :-) See also !patience [17:16] need lxqt ubuntu more ram as lxde ubuntu ? [17:18] Not really, no. The operating system itself doesn't use too much. After a cold boot on idle it consumes less than 400mb. The modern internet is where all your ram goes. [17:19] RAM consumption is dependent on what applications you are running. [17:21] I have by all systems the default application installed and i think lxqt need more [17:22] my oldest processor is am amd 64 from 2006 1 Core Cpu [17:28] It might consume a little more but it isn't too much. It is fairly active as far as development where lxde is not. Also, Lubuntu is still the lightest flavor of Ubuntu. [17:33] I have only 2 GB Ram inside the only notebook [17:36] I recommend enabling a swap file if you are low on RAM. It can help with performance. https://discourse.lubuntu.me/t/how-to-create-a-swapfile-in-lubuntu-20-04-20-10/1959?u=kc2bez [17:38] i read the text now [17:38] thank you for information [17:38] You are welcome. [17:42] Is lxqt the smallest flavour whoever? [17:42] I testing it
