ricotzis someone trying to sort out the problems with GNOME packages in -proposed?08:47
dufluMorning laney and ricotz 09:03
GunnarHjHi Trevinho, great that you fixed that patch rebase at last. But this commit confuses me when reading the commit message:09:27
GunnarHjhttps://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/gnome-control-center/-/commit/2ba4e35009:27
GunnarHjWe have code in accountsservice which handles the impact of formats when changing language.09:27
ubottuCommit 2ba4e35 in gnome-team/gnome-control-center "d/p/Adapts-the-region-capplet-and-the-language-chooser-in-the.patch: Fix locales updates"09:27
GunnarHjTrevinho: Anyway, I'll look closer into it during next week.09:53
GunnarHjHi laney, do you understand why gnome-getting-started-docs is still included on the desktop ISO? I dropped it from the seed and the meta packages have been updated since.10:33
laneyGunnarHj: not offhand, I'll check in a bit10:41
laneythe mirror on https://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/seeds/ is stale, maybe that's it, let me kick that10:43
ricotzlaney, hi :)11:00
laneyhello11:00
ricotzcould you unblock libreoffice like you did once in the past, to let is transition?11:01
laneyI don't know, what did I do in the past?11:01
laneyand what is the problem now?11:01
ricotzso the poppler transitions coudlan be finished11:01
ricotzoops11:01
ricotza armhf java test is failing11:02
ricotzwhich seems to be caused be openjdk or something related, it is not happening with the same libreoffice source in hirsute11:02
laneyis there a bug filed?11:02
ricotzno, I am still trying to debug it11:03
laneycan you file one, it's better if the hints can include a reference11:03
laneyyou can always add more detail later11:03
ricotzok11:03
laneyhttps://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/packages/libreoffice/impish/armhf11:04
laneybut looks like the old version is good still?11:04
ricotzseems like it, yes11:05
laneyneed to know why a hint is appropriate then11:05
laneyif it is indeed a regression in this one11:05
ricotzsee https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1931272 for autopkgtests on hirsute11:05
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1931272 in libreoffice (Ubuntu Hirsute) "[SRU] libreoffice 7.1.4 for hirsute" [High, In Progress]11:06
GunnarHjThanks laney!11:06
* ricotz wonders if this a new incarnation of a g++ armhf problem11:06
laneyricotz: basically if these binaries are bad, I don't think we should let them migrate11:09
laneymaybe we could try in a silo/ppa: (1) rebuild 7.1.3 with the impish toolchain, (2) run the armhf tests against it11:10
ricotzlaney, gcc-9 got updated in hirsute to 9.4.0 which might trigger this, libreoffce is using gcc-9 on armhf11:11
laneybut you said the tests are ok on hirsute?11:11
laneyoh that happened like 3 days ago11:11
laneyso ok, you can try rebuilding for both series, that might be good data11:12
ricotzyeah the hirsute tests where still using 9.3.011:12
laneythat's quite useful, then we can diff the logs if it does indeed go bad11:14
ricotzok, better no unblock then, and doing a 7.1.3 rebuild11:16
ricotzdoko, some more thoughts ^11:16

ubottuLaunchpad bug 1931701 in libreoffice (Ubuntu Impish) "autopkgtests failures on armhf of 7.1.4" [High, New]11:47
TrevinhoGunnarHj: wasn't rally happening to me. So we may also wait it to update the region, but we don't listen for any change 11:54
GunnarHjTrevinho: The idea in Ubuntu has been that when a user changes the language, the formats will not change (and vice versa). That's why I was surprised. But I haven't really looked at the code and/or tested yet.12:26
