=== ubuntu is now known as Guest2867 === benjamin is now known as bvrulez === bvrulez is now known as bomben [06:23] Good morning [06:23] morning [11:00] hello, is anyone here? [11:02] na, just crickets (re @IrcsomeBot: hello, is anyone here?) [11:24] yeah [11:26] That's not the way to go, at least tell them to just ask their support question if they have any. (re @bauchhaus: na, just crickets) [11:27] Sorry got a bit tired of it. That's IRC 1x1 to just ask and never ask to ask. (re @Maik_aD: That's not the way to go, at least tell them to just ask their support question if they have any.) [11:27] then it's better not to respond at all [11:28] Also there is no way for me from the Telegram side (at least that I know of) to see if that user is still online. [11:28] Typically those who ask "is anyone there" will be offline just one minute after [11:28] left after 6 minutes [11:28] yep, downside of the telegram bridge, that's why i prefer normal IRC. (re @bauchhaus: Also there is no way for me from the Telegram side (at least that I know of) to see if that user is still online.) === Mrokii_ is now known as Mrokii [16:10] hi...I'm using kubuntu20.10 but I have an external package that requires libzip4(which in this version is libzip5)....how can I install that or resolve the dependency? [16:47] m_tadeu: not sure but just to let you know it's better to upgrade to 21.04, 20.10 goes EOL 22nd next month [16:49] libzip5 .deb file can be downloaded here: https://packages.ubuntu.com/groovy/libzip5 [16:50] Reference the Download libzip5 table and download the deb file for your respective platform. [18:11] Mekaneck: sorry....I meant kubuntu21.10 [18:12] the package is for 21.04 and requires libzip4....my current version only has libzip5 [18:34] m_tadeu: I think you are still talking about 20.10 though, because it's the only one of the mentioned versions that has this issue - compare here: https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?searchon=names&keywords=libzip [18:39] krytarik: I have kubuntu21.10 (which has libzip5)...the package I'm trying to install (an external one, so not from the repo) was made for 21.04 (and requires libzip4) [18:40] m_tadeu, maybe a help .. https://github.com/PhilippC/keepass2android/issues/1319 [18:40] Issue 1319 in PhilippC/keepass2android "build instructions for using libzip5 to fake libzip4" [Open] [18:40] sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libzip.so.5 /usr/lib/libzip.so.4 [18:41] still, the libzip4 has serous issues, contact the vendor of your external package [18:42] oerheks: it's the government....they don't care :P I guess that only solves the problem if I'm trying to build, right? not installing the package [18:43] the 'dirty ln' would do it [18:43] let me try [18:43] and easy to reverse [18:47] m_tadeu: As you would be to see from the link I provided though, 21.10 doesn't have libzip5 but only libzip4 - besides the fact that it's only up for release coming October. [18:58] krytarik: right...my brain is totally melt...need to check this tomorrow :) [19:02] 20.10 has libzip5 [19:02] 21,04 has libzip4 [19:02] 21.10 has libzip4 [19:03] confusing, but the soname bump to libzip5 was reverted for 21.04 [19:34] m_tadeu: You could try to manually edit the deb-file (which, if I remember correctly) is just a zip-file. I had done that a year or two ago for some old game. If I remember correctly there is a config-file somewhere that declares the dependencies, maybe you could change that to the version that is installed with your Kubuntu-Version. === user__ is now known as dproit === ghostcube__ is now known as ghostcube [21:55] Mekaneck: sorry....I meant kubuntu21.10 --> 21.10 is a development version and not released yet, the support channels only support stable releases 20.04, 20.10 and 21.04. [22:42] hi [23:55] I'm running kubuntu, and I have issues where the title bar for a window will start flashing, or it'll show the names of some other windows but they're upside down
