[06:11] good morning [08:49] Hello! [08:50] morning === EriC^ is now known as EriC^^ [10:20] When does a +1 build decide on which kernel to use? I am mainly thinking about a schedule. Does it happen already on Kernel Feature Freeze Date? Or maybe even some time before that without being tied to the feature freeze directly? [10:20] Or, I mean, which kernel to ultimately stay on. Probably they have already used some kernel prior to that. [10:21] Thaurwylth: it depends on how the Ubuntu and mainline kernel release schedules coincide [10:22] That was, sort of, going to be my next question, heheh. [10:26] Impish Indri has a Kernel Freeze scheduled 30 Sep, Kernel Feature Freeze 16 Sep, Feature Freeze 19 Aug, and the kernel 5.14 has a CRYSTAL BALLED end of development date 9 Sep. Can that be used as some sort of so-called coinciding? [10:33] mainline timetable is fluid from version to version which is why it is hard to be sure. The kernel team generally make a good guess as to which version but there have been occassions where a quick change happens late in the development cycle [10:37] I see. === EriC^ is now known as EriC^^ === Walex_ is now known as Walex === EriC^ is now known as EriC^^
