GunnarHjGood morning all!07:40
GunnarHjTrevinho, seb128: As regards gtk4, please take a look at bug #1934606. Can it be that there are many gtk3 programs out there which don't explicitly specify gtk version, and where the mere presence of gtk4 will cause issues?07:40
ubottuBug 1934606 in ibus-avro (Ubuntu Hirsute) "set gtk = '3.0' to prevent importing '4.0'" [Undecided, Fix Committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/193460607:40

didrockshey GunnarHj 07:41
dufluHi GunnarHj 07:45
callmepkhi didrocks 07:49
callmepkand hi seb128 oSoMoN 07:49
seb128GunnarHj, hey, unsure, we will need to try. The 'import version' isn't going to impact C codebases but we should check gjs and python programs probably yes07:51
seb128GunnarHj, we probably have a limited set of applications using gjs so it's easy to try those07:52
seb128$ apt rdepends gjs | wc -l07:52
seb1282307:52
seb128which includes the shell and some the gjs binaries07:53
GunnarHjseb128: Ok. Thought it was worth mentioning.07:54
oSoMoNhey duflu, salut didrocks, seb128 & jibel, good morning GunnarHj, good afternoon callmepk 07:54
seb128GunnarHj, it is, thanks for pointing it out07:54

laneysomething something football08:28
seb128ah, right, tennis and football, it's sport time for you guys :)08:31
* laney cries inside gnutls09:53
TrevinhoGunnarHj: mh, we may force gjs apps to load gtk3 first maybe12:32
Trevinhoor wait them to be fixed instead...12:32
Trevinhonot sure what's the best approach, I'd prefer to see and fix in case though12:32
GunnarHjTrevinho: What about python?12:33
ricotzhello desktopers! :)12:34
oSoMoNhey ricotz 12:48
seb128do we have something supposed to set GIO_MODULE_DIR to the right location when using the gnome extensions nowadays?13:47
seb128kenvandine, ^?13:47
kenvandineseb128: i don't think so... but probably should14:29
kenvandineoh, desktop-launch does14:30
seb128kenvandine, k, because epiphany isn't working anymore, at least failing to browse https website because it doesn't find glib networking14:30
seb128do we still use desktop-launch with 3.38 ?14:30
kenvandinei'm having the same problem with snap-store-master14:30
kenvandineyes14:30
seb128hum, weird14:31
seb128k, meeting time14:31
kenvandinehttps://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/Lx7Zskql/14:31
seb128kenvandine, I don't have the context but I guess that function isn't going to cover for content mounted through the platform snaps15:21
seb128also need to step out for a while but I will read backlog 15:21
k_alamTrevinho: Hi, I changed the pc file to gsettings-unity-schema and the package name but let it keep depending on gsettings-ubuntu-schemas.. I don't think it will cause any issue. it also avoids adding a extra dependency to unity. hope this solves the issue about the clash.17:20
Trevinhok_alam: yeah, that's fine, as per the old packages is fine to keep as they are but if adding new ones is better to avoid adding too generic stuff at this point19:47
k_alamTrevinho: Alright..So do you think you can publish it ?19:50
