[06:43] seb128, going well. You? [06:44] I'm alright thanks [06:46] Salut seb128 , ça va bien et toi? [06:46] Hi callmepk [06:46] jibel, nickel! [06:48] good morning desktoppers [06:54] good morning [06:55] Hi oSoMoN and didrocks [06:59] hey duflu, oSoMoN [07:01] lut oSoMoN, comment ça va ? [07:01] didrocks, lut, en forme ? [07:05] ça va, et toi ? [07:05] hey seb128 :) [07:14] ça va bien :) [07:37] salut didrocks [07:40] Good morning all! [07:40] Trevinho, seb128: As regards gtk4, please take a look at bug #1934606. Can it be that there are many gtk3 programs out there which don't explicitly specify gtk version, and where the mere presence of gtk4 will cause issues? [07:40] Bug 1934606 in ibus-avro (Ubuntu Hirsute) "set gtk = '3.0' to prevent importing '4.0'" [Undecided, Fix Committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1934606 [07:41] salut jibel [07:41] hey GunnarHj [07:45] Hi GunnarHj [07:49] hi didrocks [07:49] and hi seb128 oSoMoN [07:51] GunnarHj, hey, unsure, we will need to try. The 'import version' isn't going to impact C codebases but we should check gjs and python programs probably yes [07:52] GunnarHj, we probably have a limited set of applications using gjs so it's easy to try those [07:52] $ apt rdepends gjs | wc -l [07:52] 23 [07:53] which includes the shell and some the gjs binaries [07:54] seb128: Ok. Thought it was worth mentioning. [07:54] hey duflu, salut didrocks, seb128 & jibel, good morning GunnarHj, good afternoon callmepk [07:54] GunnarHj, it is, thanks for pointing it out [07:54] salut oSoMoN [07:54] callmepk, hey! [07:55] seb128, ça va plutôt bien, et toi? [07:55] oSoMoN, nickel! [07:57] hey oSoMoN [08:03] yo [08:11] Hi laney [08:11] hey laney, what's up? [08:14] yo laney [08:27] hey duflu seb128 oSoMoN [08:28] something something football [08:31] ah, right, tennis and football, it's sport time for you guys :) [09:53] * laney cries inside gnutls [12:32] GunnarHj: mh, we may force gjs apps to load gtk3 first maybe [12:32] or wait them to be fixed instead... [12:32] not sure what's the best approach, I'd prefer to see and fix in case though [12:33] Trevinho: What about python? [12:34] hello desktopers! :) [12:48] hey ricotz [13:47] do we have something supposed to set GIO_MODULE_DIR to the right location when using the gnome extensions nowadays? [13:47] kenvandine, ^? [14:29] seb128: i don't think so... but probably should [14:30] oh, desktop-launch does [14:30] kenvandine, k, because epiphany isn't working anymore, at least failing to browse https website because it doesn't find glib networking [14:30] do we still use desktop-launch with 3.38 ? [14:30] i'm having the same problem with snap-store-master [14:30] yes [14:31] hum, weird [14:31] k, meeting time [14:31] https://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/Lx7Zskql/ [15:21] kenvandine, I don't have the context but I guess that function isn't going to cover for content mounted through the platform snaps [15:21] also need to step out for a while but I will read backlog [17:20] Trevinho: Hi, I changed the pc file to gsettings-unity-schema and the package name but let it keep depending on gsettings-ubuntu-schemas.. I don't think it will cause any issue. it also avoids adding a extra dependency to unity. hope this solves the issue about the clash. [19:47] k_alam: yeah, that's fine, as per the old packages is fine to keep as they are but if adding new ones is better to avoid adding too generic stuff at this point [19:50] Trevinho: Alright..So do you think you can publish it ?
