[20:08] <rharper> cyphermox: do you have the cloud-init log?  the installer takes the user-data section and writes that out, so maybe the user-data section isn't valid cloud-config ?  this bug has an example autoinstall config with a user-data section, might help https://bugs.launchpad.net/subiquity/+bug/1873538
