Today I booted my laptop and no effects were active on the initial boot. This is the 1st time that I noticed that it happend on a fresh boot. I'm usung kubuntu 21.04 and it's latest plasma.

[13:21] <magic_ninja> I'm having issues with the compositor. I used to be able to enable/disable without any issues. Now, when disabled, firefox won't start. It crashes.

[13:31] <magic_ninja> but I've updated and now there is an issue and a bug report can't be filed, or it can't be troubleshot if I have no clue what part of the system is doing it or what logs to check and see what is happening.
