lordievaderCaching of what?07:33
IrcsomeBot_<Drax3452L> I have optane i want to use it to cache my ssd07:57
IrcsomeBot_<Drax3452L> To improve performance07:57
IrcsomeBot_<ri5h46h> Intel optane isn't supported on Linux.08:03

IrcsomeBot_<Drax3452L> Etc so i thought this should make t work08:05
IrcsomeBot_<ri5h46h> that's why we also disable intel RST and change storage controller to AHCI in the  uefi firmware settings of the machine before using linux on it.08:05
IrcsomeBot_<Drax3452L> Rst is not supprted on linux but optane can be formatted as normal ssd (re @ri5h46h: Intel optane isn't supported on Linux.)08:05
IrcsomeBot_<ri5h46h> then do it.08:06

IrcsomeBot_<Drax3452L> I can't fully understand bcache (re @ri5h46h: then do it.)08:07

BluesKajHi all11:37
IrcsomeBot_<gilbertoferreira> What's the widget name for the new kde default app launcher menu? I couldn't find it.12:06
BluesKajapplication launcher12:09
IrcsomeBot_<gilbertoferreira> I'm trying to install it in KDE Plasma 5.20.5. I supposed that I'll dont find it for this release. (I'm actually runing Devuan which is based on Debian)12:18
BluesKajit should show as application launcher in the add widgets option by right clicking in the panel or on the desktop12:23
IrcsomeBot_<gilbertoferreira> Yep! But I could'nt find that one I'm looking for. (re @IrcsomeBot: <BluesKaj> it should show as application launcher in the add widgets option by right clicking in the panel or on the desktop)12:25
BluesKajmaybe you should join #devuan or #kde chat12:45
IrcsomeBot_<gilbertoferreira> Thanks12:46
IrcsomeBot_<Palju> help : https://irc-attachments.kde.org/4d7d4fad/file_46306.jpg13:13
BluesKaj@Palju, you have some ppa sources there that probly no longer active.  look in /etc/apt/sources.list.d and comment them or remove them13:24
IrcsomeBot_<Palju> I've checked here before, but I don't understand which one the problem is.  Can u help me? : https://irc-attachments.kde.org/4af5a43f/file_46307.jpg13:27
BluesKajanything with ppa in it is probly old and should be removed...ppas aren't meant to be permanent, thye're only valid til the apps involved are upgraded to normal release status13:32
BluesKajcommenting means placing a # at the beginning of the deb source line13:35
IrcsomeBot_<Palju> It's fixed. Thank you very much. (re @IrcsomeBot: <BluesKaj> commenting means placing a # at the beginning of the deb source line)13:41
BluesKaj@Palju, you're welcome :-)13:47
