After sleep mode touchpad not working. Have ideas? [11:26] I had the same problem and i resolved it by reinstalling the grphic card driver (re @IrcsomeBot: Hi. I have a trouble with my laptop. [11:30] mrcarist, or you can try !acpi_osi [11:30] !acpi_osi [11:30] If your system is unstable or power management does not work well and logs show ACPI issues, you can try to make the Linux kernel pretend it was Windows during boot (which can help on hardware which was only tested with Windows): http://iam.tj/prototype/enhancements/Windows-acpi_osi.html [12:03] Ok, thanks for you answers [12:09] Hi! [12:10] Hi! A need some help to install kio-gdrive on kubuntu 21.04 [12:10] I'm having the Unable to create io-slave. klauncher said: Error loading '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/gdrive.so'. error [12:13] version 21.04.3-0ubuntu1~ubuntu21.04~ppa1 === genii-core is now known as genii [16:31] i am a long time windows user moving to KUBUNTU. I love it very much but i am having alot of difficulties installing my printer/scanner to work. Is there any application i can install that can do the proper installation for me? Thank you very much. [16:41] what kind of printer/scanner [16:53] MFC 7860DW BROTHER [16:56] RobertM26: https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=ca&lang=en&prod=mfc7860dw_all says there's a linux driver, you'll want the .deb file [17:00] Thank you very much. [18:10] I don't know where to leave complaints for kubuntu so I'm going to leave one here [18:11] I'm using kubuntu 20.04.2 [18:11] I keep everything updated, always [18:11] anyway, I have multiple wifi access points in my house [18:12] my laptop frequently, multiple times a day, will disconnect from the internet [18:12] What's happened is the AP it was on has gone out of range [18:12] luckily I can set the preferred BSSID in the network settings [18:13] but I literally do this manually several times each day [18:13] because the system can't figure out to switch to the highest power BSSID automatically [18:13] or if it can, it does it too slowly [18:13] so, I get disconnected... all the time [18:14] I would really appreciate better wifi roaming in whatever updates kubuntu has planned [18:14] that's all I have to say
