Our Java based CRM software generates an invoice as PDF in own folder (/user/.soft/crm) and default PDF viewer (Okular) shows the invoice few seconds later. This works fine on our old distribution (Mint 18.3 Cinammon), but not on Kubuntu 21.04 KDE. Default PDF viewer opens but shows error [16:43] message "„file:///home/user/.software/sp/Lieferantenbestellung_PO-001212.pdf“ can not be opened ()" PDF file is created correctly - -rw-rw-r-- 1 user user 40598 Aug 10 18:23 Lieferantenbestellung_PO-001212.pdf and user can open it by double click. What can cause this behaviour? Could it be AppArmor? Or App Armor would even prevent the [16:43] default PDF viewer from starting? Any idea how to fix it? (fresh installation, with updates, default settings, +openjdk-8-jre) Thank you for any answer / help. [16:49] BOG_WUPLUG, try evince instead, it's in the repos [17:01] thank you for alternative workaround, I just tested it with evince, got the same behaviour: evince opens GUI window, but PDF is not loaded, and 2 error messages appear: "Unable to open document "„file:///home/user/.software/sp/Lieferantenbestellung_PO-001212.pdf“ and below "Failed to load backend for 'application/pdf': libnss3.so: Fehler beim [17:01] Mappen des Shared Objects" - error on mapping of shared object. evince will show the PDF document correctly when user double clicks on it. Any thoughts? [17:01] BluesKaj 18:49:25 BOG_WUPLUG, try evince instead, it's in the repos [17:01] BOG_WUPLUG 18:43:50 Hello @all got a technical question about Kubuntu 21.04 KDE. (re @IrcsomeBot: check pavucontrol volume if you have it installed) [20:10] Hello, guys, good afternoon or morning or evening [20:10] I came here to ask for some guidance with a problem I'm constantly having while trying to install Kubuntu [20:11] Long story short, everything goes fine until the end, when the installer says that there was a problem installing grub, and that that's a fatal error [20:11] I've tried using boot repair and also changing the directory of the grub from dev/sda to dev/sdb [20:11] But nothing has worked so far [20:12] Anyone knows how to fix this? [20:12] I'm installing it from a pendrive, using ventoy [20:15] do you know if you're using EFI or legacy boot? [21:25] I don't [21:26] Guess is efi, cause a partition with that structure was created when I first tried to install [21:29] turn off fastboot ( not secure boot) with UEFI [21:29] that could explain the grub error === genii is now known as genii-core [23:13] Will try
