[01:03] We are seeing lots of "Cannot initiate the connection to ppa.launchpad.net:80" happening in our install scripts right now... is it possible servers are having issues? I checked the twitter account but nothing new there [01:30] asana-dev: there were some reports of that from people using aws a day or so ago [01:30] asana-dev: but it seemed to be a routing issue rather than an issue with the server [01:30] (not sure what the current status is though) [01:32] interesting. we are on aws [11:13] quite a few builds failing with logs today [11:13] umm *without [11:16] same here [11:23] only getting them on bos02 [11:25] Looks like maybe networking problems when trying to poll the builder. There's not much I can do other than bulk-retry those (which I've done) [14:48] exit [14:53] We are noticing Unable to connect to ppa.launchpad.net:http while running install scripts? is it possible Launchpad is blocking certain ips ? [14:55] mi0z, is that from AWS? [14:56] noticing on bitbucket pipelines, that I assume are running on AWS [14:56] we've had a few reports of that, localised to AWS, I don't think there's anything we can do, but I'll bring it up with our sysadmins again [14:57] ok thank you [22:27] Hello, I think we're seeing some IP ranges of our servers in AWS being either blocked or throttled by ppa.launchpad.net. Is this a good place to contact someone about that? [22:33] This is probably the best place to get help - https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+addquestion [22:37] Do you know if staff monitors that? It appears to be maybe a community support site [22:37] This would be an issue that someone on the ops team would have to investigate [22:40] quailman: they do that's why I suggested it [22:42] Okay thanks [22:48] bdmurray, quailman: This has come up a few times recently, but it needs to be raised with rt@ubuntu.com with mtr reports. [22:48] LP staff can't do anything about network issues between AWS and ppa.l.n. We aren't blocking or throttling AWS to the best of my knowledge. [22:49] So it needs to go to Canonical's sysadmins where there are people who can look into network issues. [22:49] Somebody raised a ticket there a day or two ago, but it went away when a sysadmin tried to investigate it ... [22:51] "mtr --report -T -P 80 ppa.launchpad.net" as a starting point, probably
