seb128hey there, could someone review bug #1942911 ?09:14
ubottuBug 1942911 in gdm3 (Ubuntu) "[FFe] Support wayland user sessions for Nvidia machines" [High, New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/194291109:14
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New source: xlnx-kria-firmware (impish-proposed/primary) [0.5]10:12
slyonHey! Baseline testing shows that bilibop/0.6.3 regressed in release, and I'd like to ask for it to be hinted: https://code.launchpad.net/~slyon/britney/+git/hints-ubuntu/+merge/40834910:17
mwhudsonah i was completely confused by that10:20
slyonyeah. I'm not sure what triggered it. That failure didn't show up in the bileto pre-testing10:24
mwhudsonslyon: i blame the kernel, based on no evidence whatsoever10:24
slyonhehe10:25

fheimesdear "releasers" could you please approve the bug-fixed s390-tools (and s390-tools-signed) for impish? (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/impish/+queue?queue_state=1&queue_text=s390-tools)11:37
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- Unapproved: procps (focal-proposed/main) [2:3.3.16-1ubuntu2.2 => 2:3.3.16-1ubuntu2.3] (core, i386-whitelist)13:22
schopinI'm preparing an SRU for a bionic package with a GUI, and it has a component using OpenGL. The bug that the SRU fixes is completely unrelated (the program couldn't even start), but the OpenGL plotting component seems to have been broken by a mesa upgrade (if it ever worked?)13:53
schopinThe plotting component is probably an important feature of the program (scilab), but I'm not sure of what's going on exactly. Knowing this, is it a good idea to do the SRU for the first bug, or would the release team prefer to wait for both issues to be fixed?13:57
schopin(side question : who do I talk to for mesa-related problems?)13:57
ginggsschopin: probably tjaalton14:00
ricotzsil2100, hi :), there is another libreoffice SRU ready, it would be great if could put it on your list https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/194289414:07
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1942894 in libreoffice (Ubuntu Hirsute) "[SRU] libreoffice 7.1.6 for hirsute" [High, In Progress]14:07
ddstreetgood afternoon sil2100! if you have a chance, could you release php7.2 in b, and php7.4 in f, and systemd in b? we also have an upload of procps in f which is pretty simple, if you have time to review/accept it. thanks!14:25
ddstreetthe systemd in b may need to wait, since the systemd in f/h had to be respun due to an OEM patch needing to be reverted (and also i think schopin and slyon have systemd bugs not verified yet, so they're not ready for release to -updates)14:28
rbasakschopin: speaking for the SRU team I have no objection to an SRU that makes a package measurably better and more useful to users even if some other bug remains.14:31
rbasakschopin: however I also think users dislike downloading large number of updates all the time, so I favour trying to collapse multiple fixes into a single SRU where possible. So it's a trade-off, but IMHO the decision is up to the person driving the SRU.14:32
rbasak(that'd be you :-)14:34
sil2100ddstreet, rbasak: hey! I can take a look at those later, I sadly didn't do my SRU shift yet due to the librarian issues14:34

schopinddstreet: fwiw my focal fix has been verified, but I think there were autopkgtest regressions14:43
ddstreetschopin yeah i think it's still waiting for h verification too though?14:44
schopinoh right, I forgot about that.14:47
bdmurrayslyon: Have you tried bilibop w/ more memory since it got killed somehow?14:54

slyonbdmurray: not explicitly... I ran it locally with the default qemu settings, which provide more memory than the m1.small testrunners IIRC. But I will re-investigate and comment on the MP!15:56
bdmurrayslyon: great, thanks15:58
slyonsil2100: the netplan.io SRU for bionic is needed for: https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/pull/10212 – but it's not a big version bump, but only a small targeted feature backport16:02
ubottuPull 10212 in snapcore/snapd "network-setup-control: add netplan generate D-Bus rules (LP: #1926442)" [Open]16:02
sil2100slyon: ah! Ok, my fault that I didn't actually look at the diff16:03
sil2100Let me handle that in a bit then, thanks16:03
slyonthanks!16:03
tjaaltonschopin: which bug?16:10
tjaaltonschopin: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/scilab/+bug/1742894 ?16:12
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1742894 in libjogl2-java (Ubuntu Artful) "Scilab does not start after some upgrades on Ubuntu Xenial" [Undecided, Fix Released]16:12
schopinNot yet on LP as it cannot be triggered until I fix LP: #1870813 but basically I get an exception "Profile GL3bc is not available"16:12
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1870813 in scilab (Ubuntu Focal) "Scilab does not start on bionic and focal" [High, Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/187081316:12
schopinI can work around it by exporting MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=2.116:13
schopinAnd no it's not the same issue as the one you linked, the "symptoms" are different : it only triggers when opening the plot subwindow (launch scilab, enter "plot", and voilà) and it not a crash, the plot window is just blank and I get a stack trace in my terminal.16:16

ubottuDebian bug 886837 in scilab "scilab: impossible to plot anything" [Important, Open]16:16
schopinyeah, looks like the one.16:17
tjaaltonlibjogl2-java is already updated for the mesa change since bionic16:22
