dreamon | diogenes_, hello. I ask you months ago, what could be reason I cannot login in after suspend. I see no login screen but I can see xfce without reacting. After typing password it go on working like it should. Now I found the reason, I want to share with you. might be you no a solution.. | 07:40 |
=== TiZ1 is now known as TiZ | ||
diogenes_ | dreamon: so what was the reason? | 10:04 |
dreamon | diogenes_, I use a thinkpad thats connected to usb-c thunderbold, dockingstation. xubuntu uses my second screen, too. by use standby and plugoff notebook. and restart from stdby I have this issue. cause he think external monitor is still connected. but it isnt. | 10:32 |
dreamon | If notebook is plugged in again, using arandr an disable second monitor. standby, plugoff, reboot it works normally. | 10:34 |
dreamon | I think that change is not recognized correct at reboot. Login screen might be visible on not existing screen to login. | 10:35 |
diogenes_ | dreamon: ah all this mess with multiple monitor that lightdm still can't do properly. | 10:41 |
dreamon | diogenes_, Im not sure if its only a lightdm issue. I had some strange horizontal strips by scrolling vertical. Now I know I can solve this by starting arandr and disable second screen. cause its not attached but is show as second screen. | 10:44 |
dreamon | sorry my bad englisch. | 10:45 |
dreamon | this only happens on my usb-c plugged in monitor. using same monitor an plugg it on hdmi to the laptop, no issue. unplug and its not visible in arandr. not by usb-c still there.. | 10:47 |
