[16:31] Hi, finally managed to upgrade this machine to US 21.10 .. I have bit of a problem. I was doing something that required stopping programs to conserve RAM and I closed Studio Controls and now I cannot start it again (after several reboots) [16:32] I'm looking at Ksystemlog and I dunno why it just stops [16:33] I have several snapshots, so I could roll back to like yesterday and hope that fixes it [16:39] I have a snapshot that is 6.5 hrs old, that was before I closed the Studio Controls, but I am afraid it could be a config thing and restoring /-partition maybe will not fix it if the problem is some settings in /home. I got a Baqpaq snapshot of my home dir from yesterday so I can get the settings files for Studio Controls from there if I just know what they are [16:39] Any help would be appreciated, thanks [16:44] Here is what I see in Journald Log when I try to start Studio Controls https://paste.debian.net/1216015/ [16:48] Iamthehuman12: Try launching studio-controls from the command line, and check that output. [16:48] will do it now [16:49] Eickmeyer: the output is here https://paste.debian.net/1216016/ [16:50] Hmm... not the first time we've seen something like this. [16:50] OvenWerks: ^ [16:51] Iamthehuman12: I can't help you much further, but OvenWerks should be able to as it's his application. The best I could do in this case is point you in the right direction. :) [16:51] cheers for your help [16:52] Iamthehuman12: I can say this: it appears as though the autojack configuration failed to convert to the new format. If you're in a hurry, you might be able to delete ~/.config/autojack and try relaunching studio-controls. [16:53] That said, you'd have to configure studio-controls again. However, I think OvenWerks would appreciate it being left alone so he can debug and fix the convert script. [16:53] I'm not in a hurry ... but I will move it out of the way and try relaunching .. if it didn't help I can return to the previous file [16:54] You can also report the issue to https://github.com/ovenwerks/studio-controls. That might be very helpful. [16:54] but what's the deal that it worked ok until it was stopped and restarted [16:55] Yeah, like I said, not the first time this has come up. There's a few edge cases where it's not working properly, and I don't know why, but OvenWerks knows the application inside and out. [18:35] rgh: Have you had a chance to check geonkick RE: bug 1946779 ? [18:35] Bug 1946779 in geonkick (Ubuntu Impish) "[SRU] lv2 plugin installs to wrong directory" [High, Fix Committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1946779 [18:45] Eickmeyer: no time yet [18:45] * rgh had a crazy day [18:45] rgh: No worries, I'll just start to get nag emails if it sits too long. :) [18:51] I'll try tomorrow.
