IrcsomeBot<Tshering1980> Forwarded from Tshering1980: Ubuntu as well as Kubuntu ISO's are iso-hybrid images. So you can use the terminal command : sudo cp debian.iso /dev/sdX && sync " for making the bootable usb - source https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/amd64/ch04s03.en.html14:35

user|41I am running mint, I would like to replace with kubuntu, so trialling with live, usb setup. I have a few WD drives connected, work fine using mint, but there is a problen when using kubuntu.  The other thing is I am unable to acces both, lan and internet, internet is via an iphone.21:49
oerheksthere is not much we can do, install kubuntu, lan should work OOTB, as it does with mint21:55
oerheksand disconnect those 'few WD drives' until you have internet21:55
user|41I do not want internet via the router, just using it to connect local drives, thanks anyway21:56
oerheksstep 1; install, live mode can give an other experience21:58
user|41If I understand you correctly you are saying install rather than use live usb should have it working22:01
