[08:26] <knightwise> the impending rise of covid infections calls for more webinars and livestreams
[08:27] <knightwise> its kinda a side-gig we did with our company that is turning out to be quite a lucrative enterprise
[08:27] <knightwise> normally we do about one per month
[08:27] <knightwise> i have 3 more scheduled this month
[08:28] <knightwise> so its time to pack up the studio again and take the camera's on the road

[08:28] <knightwise> Not complaining though :) Just that some of them are pretty last minute and that all comes "on top" of what we are already doing.

[08:29] <knightwise> How is "the season" winding down your workload ? 
[08:29] <daftykins> oy i've had clients expecting they can just call me up and i'll drop everything the very next morning, of late
[08:29] <daftykins> well i'm just self employed so there's usually less come the holidays
[08:29] <knightwise> daftykins: We do that sometimes but our "firehouse fee" is substantially higher :) 
[08:30] <knightwise> daftykins: Me and the wife are self employed too
[08:30] <knightwise> Are you a freelance developer ? 
[08:30] <daftykins> freelance small biz support essentially
[08:30] <daftykins> and some individuals
[08:31] <knightwise> Wicked, Linux centered I assume ? 
[08:31] <knightwise> or wintel too ? 
[08:31] <daftykins> nah nobody wants desktop Linux here
[08:31] <knightwise> Wintel/Office365  ? 
[08:32] <daftykins> nah mostly Google Workspace when it comes up, though i do have one small biz on M365
[08:32] <knightwise> Our company mostly does the IT management for small businesses. They call us up when they have a project. We help to direct them, play IT and Project manager and work with subcontractors
[08:32] <daftykins> and one individual
[08:33] <daftykins> ah yeah, i'll do desktop support, keep the office kit ticking along - handle the email platforms, sometimes babysit websites and/or web services like Nextcloud
[08:33] <daftykins> i'm trying to kill off all the wordpress instances that are still around at the moment, not a headache i need when i've been busy
