tomreynhq-pod[m]: you didn't say what you installed exactly. based on your presence here, i assume some release of Ubuntu Studio?10:42

tomreynoh wait, that is pretty old and probably outdated10:45
tomreynOn default Ubuntu, in current releases, the (GNOME based) "snap-store" snap package is (meant to be?) the primary package manager. On (KDE based, just like current Ubuntu Studio) Kubuntu, the primary package manager still seems to be Muon https://userbase.kde.org/Kubuntu/Advanced/en#Software_Management10:53
tomreynAnd then there is https://ubuntustudio.org/ubuntu-studio-installer/ - which enables more apt packages to be installed with apt / Muon Discover.10:56
tomreynHmm, should I be able to install 21.10 like this - password is unset - https://i.imgur.com/2BOuzzP.png11:26
tomreynAlso, hostname requires 2 characters minimum (Ubuntu  desktop + server installer are fine with just one). and fullname / realname should not be required IMO.11:28
tomreynhq-pod[m]: long story short: plasma-discover is the default package manager on ubuntu Studio 21.10 (and probably on 20.04 LTS as well)11:39
