[07:02] Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. After switching from Ubuntu 18.04 to Ubuntu 20.04, "gwenview" no longer has video thumbnails. Some research indicates that this feature relies on the "kffmpegthumbnailer" package, which is not available in Ubuntu 20.04, but was in 18.04. More research indicates that the package was dropped because it relies on Qt4 instead of Qt5. Am I just out of luck [07:02] with getting this feature back? [07:19] indyZ: the Qt5 version is called ffmpegthumbs [07:24] RikMills: Hey, that did it! Thank you! [07:24] I have no idea why that was so hard to find out [07:25] I've been googling for like an hour, trying all sorts of stuff, including installing the latest gwenview from snap (a disaster) [07:26] I even tried installing ffmpegthumbnailer and other random similar sounding packages. Maybe ffmpegthumbs should be a dependency or recommended package for gwenview? I'm not sure. [09:34] y'all rock. Qt rocks. Thanks again
