foo | I travel a lot. Looking to proxy via a socks/https proxy on one of my systems. Ideally I install a docker image and good to go. Tired of security checkpoints because I change locations so much (and I want this to be easy to set up for a couple other folks). Ideally user/pass auth. I think Squid is my only option, any other suggestions? I have a ubuntu server I thought I'd run a docker image on. I tried | 01:11 |

tomreyn | foo: how about a vpn? | 01:24 |
tomreyn | wg-quick is pretty easy - you just need to pass users a configuration file containing the secrets | 01:25 |
coke | foo: https://www.privoxy.org/ is more of this century than squid | 10:40 |
coke | but yea just getting a public vpn account that you can share on 5 devices or something is probably easier for normal people to use | 10:41 |
