=== pizzaiolo is now known as pizza [02:48] good morning [02:51] More like good midnight here. lul. [02:51] How you doing> [02:51] ? [02:51] all good over here, coffee set go! [02:52] Yay good idea. just woke up here for some reason. [02:52] But now that i'm up... [02:53] Mr cola daemon is gone it seems. [02:53] coffee at midnight sounds like a linux user :p [02:54] Yea ;p [02:54] the soft drinks are safe for now, then [02:54] hehe [07:32] good morning [08:03] Morning! [14:24] ahoy marcoagpinto [14:25] heya [14:43] marcoagpinto: hows your stomac doing? not too acid with all the cola bubbles? [14:47] "Napster Bad" [15:02] https://twitter.com/nixcraft/status/1468469335710519296 === sarnold_ is now known as sarnold [21:50] Lubuntu gets heavier by every release [21:50] I miss the old days when it was very light. [22:53] I doubt so. [22:55] Metamorphosis: get the live usb and install that one. Then you add up only the software you need. They don't enlarge the live usb afaik? :P [22:56] It works just well here, i think i use the last 1. [23:06] The ISO download isn't getting smaller [23:13] Yeah, i guess they added few things it seems about 200 MB more...still less than 2 GB tho. [23:14] However lxqt and other things didn't move i think, must be using about 500 MB ram once the system is up. [23:14] Maybe they've been smart and the gimp! [23:15] +added [23:15] so you mean lxqt uses a lot of ram [23:15] Right now i remember...the NSA asked them to put a magic 200 MB backdoor. [23:15] :P [23:16] No gry. [23:16] gry: How much total ram a regular Ubuntu with gnome is using once booted? [23:16] it's like 2 GB or something IIRC. [23:16] on my 8 GB laptop. [23:17] so 2gb is rather a lot [23:32] Android 10+ can be using about the same on modern devices. [23:32] But maybe even more for the last ubuntu, check with top at bootime to see. [23:33] New smartphones can have 8+ GB of RAM. same for laptops, i think the desktop of my friend nearby has 16 GB, my raspberry 4 has 8GB. [23:35] Raspbian running on that PI right now is using 910 MB RAM with lxqt and chromium + filemanager + 3 or 4 terms + music player. so LX* desktop is pretty lightweight. I like it a lot. [23:45] Not sure you got my joke. Anyway not important :P [23:55] pi is ok
