[21:43] cmaloney: so, it's been at least 2.5 years since I had my squeezebox setup (don't ask) and, uh, do you use a synology to run LMS or something manual? [21:46] I use a regular machine that is always on [21:47] I don't trust a synology to run LMS in part because a) transcoding requires CPU power, and b) LMS does a few scans that might overpower the Synology [21:47] that said I'm referring to DS213/215 machines. The newer ones might be a little beefier [21:48] and I'm sure that folks run LMS fine on a RPI 2 but I have a large library and use FLAC [21:48] neither of which are CPU-sipping activities. [22:41] if you are starting over... and without knowing what you are doing... I recommend navidrome :) [22:42] yeah, this old ds213 is still kicking it, but it's old. Looks like the LMS packages available aren't working. [22:43] I just wish i could use this hardware to play my music collection :( [22:43] (the squeezebox) [22:44] I don't want to use the TV (chromecast) to play my music, as I don't want the TV on. [23:41] oh, you actually have a squeezebox. cool.
